This is the first vehicle I have done from start to finish. (My own vehicles are being done in stages right now).
This is my Mom's car. She uses it for church, groceries and various other short trips. It is the car that my folks use when they travel.
2003 Lincoln Town Car with approximately 48k miles.
I don't have a lot of experience, but I believe the car to be in pretty good shape. Dad takes it to the local touchless wash to get it cleaned up. I did find a few scuffs and tons of linear scratches (running front to back). There is some swirling, but I could not "cut" them with the PC.
I did a little bit over three days, taking breaks to spend time with the folks. I worked in the morning or at night as it was pretty hot in south Alabama over the Father's Day weekend.
Thanks to gmblack3a for the loan of the aqua brush for the PC and the Colinite (sp) Inuslator Wax #845.
Process -
Interior.
Wipe all plastic pieces with APC cut 10:1.
Vacuum carpet.
Spot clean carpet with Folex and aqua brush on the PC.
Spot cleaned leather seats of scuff marks with APC 10:1.
Apply 303 to trim.
Megs leather wipes applied to seats.
Glass.
Front got clayed.
All glass got Stoner Invisible glass pump.
Exterior.
Wash and clay.
Horizontal panels got OC with Exel Orange pad on PC at about 6.
(Did not seem to "cut" the swirls or scratches)
Followed up with OP on Green Excel pad with PC on about 6.
AJ X 1.
Colinite (sp) Insulator Wax #845 applied with Blue Excel pad and buffed with MF towel.
Wheels.
Wash and Black Magic tire wet applied.
Overall I am pleased with the way the car turned out. I am especially please with being able to get out some of the scuff marks in the paint. I am a bit disappointed that the PC would not take out more of the scratches / swirls, but I'm in the learning process.
I think the #845 went on and came off very easy and gave the car a nice finish.
