This is a 4 yrs old car, the owner works in a chemical plant at industrial area and usually the car is washed at the petrol station. The car has quite serious swirls, scratches and etched marks.

After 5-6 hours of ‘intense’ detailing, the end result makes us feel that the effort is indeed worthwhile.

Process :

1) Wash and Clay

2) Power Gloss/cutting pad on a rotary (certain area need 3-4 passes)

3) IP/polishing pad with PC

4) FP/polishing pad with PC

5) NXT wax by hand

6) OCW by hand

I find that OCW is the easiest LSP to work with as compare to many other LSP I have used before. I used a MF towel to apply OCW, simply wipe on wipe off, without any streaking problem. I also like the look of OCW, very clean and clear look, the reflection is also very impressive. I think I will be using this product very often in my future detailing .

That is really nice rotary work! You really improved that car.

I agree that OCW is easy to work with, and leaves a very nice looking finish. I've found the durability on OCW to be excellent vs. other popular sealers on the market. The only downside (for me) is that OCW doesn't like to be applied over some brands of carnuba, and it does not like to be applied during cold weather (under 40 degrees). I've been using it for a year now, and really like it.

Incredible Work! Looks like a totally different car.

What kind of car is that? Looks like a VW Jetta, but nicer.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments :grinno: .

Got to agree with you, I tried OCW on another car and for the past 1 week it has been raining quite often over here but the beading is still going strong :xyxthumbs .

This is a Seat Toledo 2001 model.

Beautiful! Amazing how removing swirls, scratches and other defects can dramatically darken a black car!

Paint looks terrific, and I agree with you 100% on OCW. :)

Hi Scottwax, I have been following your postings all the while and I really love your detailing although you don't see me posting very often.

I am thinking of topping OCW with Pinnacle Souveran or Natty Blue to give the car a more wet look effect but wondering would it affect the durability of OCW or would you recommand just layer 1 more coat of OCW to enhance the look?

It's a Seat Toledo, a spanish brand owned by Audi/Volkswagen. I believe it is sold in Mexico too, but not in the US.

nice job!! is it possibly to remove those swirls and defects, with a PC?

For this Seat the swirls and scratches are rather stubborn (maybe due to hard clear), after a few passes with the PC, those more serious swirls and scratches did not seem to 'give way'. Only after using the rotary, most of the defects were removed.

to add to this...

"From the 1950's Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo, S.A., to the young, sporty member of the Audi Brand Group that SEAT is today"

SEAT has some nice little cars...very sporty.

dang cause i think thats how bad my moms car is (its black also)... just would be kinda upset if i bought a PC and it didnt remove the marks :(

Seat is not only owned by VW, they are basically the same cars. The Toledo was based on VW's previous compact platform. (Golf IV, Jetta, Beetle, Audi A3, Audi TT, Ã… koda Octavia, Seat Toledo/León) That means the same mechanicals/engines with different bodies and interiors. The Seats used their unique sheetmetal with the dash of the Audi A3.

The new platform is now called PQ35. It consist of 12 new models, including A3, Golf V, Jetta, Golf Plus, Passat, Ã… koda Octavia, Seat León/Altea/Toledo, VW Caddy, VW Touran and upcoming TT.

As always: same componentry, different suspension tuning and bodies - alias howtomakeeasymoney by VW.

I'd apply another layer of OCW and if you are satisfied with the appearance at that point, leave it alone. I've used carnaubas over OCW and haven't noticed any durability issues.
