This was the first full detail of my new M3. The results were not as dramatic as on my jet black 328ic, but reflectivity and shine are definitely improved.

Does anyone have any suggestions for adding depth and wetness to silver paint?

I used the following on the exterior:

1z acrysol

clay magic claybar

1z paint polish

1z metallic polish

3 coats of zaino z2

Thanks :D

Troy: Nice M

The paint looks sweet, but I see your debacle with the depth. NXT Tech Wax has been known to darken paint, but I have heard very good things about Poorboy's EX-P topped with Meguiar's #16 on Silver or any color for that matter :)

What part of NY?

Thanks GSRstilez. I'm in southern Westchester.

With jet black, the prep work is always tough, but the end result is nothing short of spectacular. For all the work I did, I felt that the result was sort of dissapointing. I have heard good things about Poorboy's EX-P, so I am considering trying that out instead of Zaino.

Thanks for the suggestions

With Silver your gonna have a hard time obtaining depth but I would give the PoorBoys a try out if your not satisfied with the "Z".

Try some PwC then top that with a few layers of EX-P
