Yeah, the C6Z06 is brilliant... it's too bad they require 93 octane or I would trade both my cars in for one. :hairpull The best I can get here in SW Kansas is 91 octane.



I saw a red car just like yours here in town yesterday, but it was only like a... I wanna say 6 cylinder. It had the AMG wheels, front fascia, badges, etc. but the number was down in the 2's. I thought they only had the V-8.

They actually make three versions of the SLK now. SLK55 with the 5.5 liter V8, SLK350 with a 3.5 V6, and what you saw which was a SLK280 with a 2.8 V6. I think you can get the AMG sport package (similar but not exact suspension, aero kit, etc.) with the 350 and 280. Not bad looking but of course none of the sound or perfomance of the 55.



To bad about the 91 octane in your part of the country. Maybe you can get some shipped in and end up paying like $4 a gallon :D

I've been lazy and haven't uploaded my most recent pictures after the last detail into my gallery. I'll try to get them up this week.



I'll give you a mental image :chuckle: It's machine silver metallic with chrome wheels.
 
Very nicely done! I have an 06 SLK55 in Capri Blue and am getting ready to do my first detailing job on it. I'll set up my own post, as I have more than a few questions before I get started, though.
 
Being a valet at a MB dealership i must say, the SLK55 has the most torquey feel of any other MB. The thing is a freakin rocket.
