First Detail in Quite Some Time, Need Some Advice

Hi Guys,

After nearly a year without a garage, I'll be moving my car to our new home with a garage/basement on Tuesday. The car's been out in the elements for a while now, so it's looking pretty rough.

I've been doing some research, and here's the product lineup I'm considering. The car is a black Camaro and has a considerable amount of water spotting and swirls. I want to be sure the swirls are removed and not simply filled.

NXT Wash

Clay Magic Clay

SSR 2.5

Meg's #80

Clearkote RMG

Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax

Meg's #16 or #26 (Maybe)

Any opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'll be using a PC for the work where applicable.

Thanks! :)

Josh

Your process looks good to me. #80 might not be necessary, depending on the condition of the paint after SSR2.5.

Since you have black paint, you may need to follow up with #80 to remove any slight marring after SSR2.5, which also depends on the aggressiveness of the pad you use with SSR2.5.

Exactly what Paul said: use #80 if needed after the SSR2.5. The RMG and CMW combo should look very good on black (deep and wet).
