I was approached at work by someone desperate for help. She spilled TOMATO SOUP in her front passenger floor. I looked at the rest of the inside, and boy did it need help. Here's the befores and afters. There was a lot of straw-type stuff that I need advice on removal for next time. I tried a brush, but not all of it came out.

Thanks guys. I just used simple green as pre-treater and then a Thor-omatic extractor (warm water- no steam) with Jonhson Wax professional Extractor Cleaner solution (2oz solution to 2gallons water. I used my shopvac to get all the big stuff; lots of stones, straw and sand. I used Griot's vinyl/rubber dressing for the interior, and did all windows. She was very happy with the results, as was I. I do think the tomato discolored the carpet a bit, and I have no idea how long it was on there. I do know it happened during this winter, so that may have helped her situation a bit.

Wow how long total did it take you to do that interior? Did you have to do the exterior? I don't expect it was pretty either? Nice work.

For jobs like those, i remove the seats and pressure wash the carpets. I pull up all the doorjam trims, and lift up the carpets over night, while running two industrial driers inside the car.

It took me 3 hrs. She was waiting in my living room, so there was no overnight involved. She drove 50+ miles to have me do her car. Actually, the exterior wasn't real bad, but this was an interior only job.

It always amazes me how some people seem to be unfamiliar with the concept of "cleaning". I notice this at work, how some people can't seem to do things like get stuff in the garbage can, clean up spilled coffee, etc. I always wonder if they are different at home, or if there dwelling (or car) is as disgusting as their work area. And I'm not talking about operating room clean, but couldn't the owner of this car have pulled the mats out of the car and shaken them out? You don't need a house with a driveway for that, you can do it in the parking lot of your apartment complex, at work (ha ha) etc.
