I was really referring to what color pads, how you did your stepdown, etc. I have the old version of OHC and OC and I can't tell the difference between them, and I don't remember the OHC seeming gritty (like SSR3 does).

I've got a pair of Propel 2 blue pads doing the same thing. Both pads are hardly used. Danase has smaller pads by Lake Country (5 inch) which have a good reputation. Lake Country Manufacturing CCS Pads

Sorry, I did most of the correction with OC on orange, and finished with OP on blue. I would have liked to try OC on the yellow instead of OHC on the Orange for the tough spots, but the pad was making a mess. Maybe it is thinner consistency of the OHC that makes it seem gritty to me.
