First C&B - Please go easy on me - Mercedes C320





Exterior Process:

Wheels cleaned with CG Citrus Wash diluted 8:1

Washed CG Citrus Wash and microfiber chenille mit + rinse bucket + grit guard

Dryed with Cobra WW MF towel

Clayed with Clay Magic - the blue stuff

Polish - Four Star Body Shop MCC and LC CSS Orange pad on the hood, roof, and trunk. FSBS SMR & MCC 50/50 on the sides.

ONR Wash because of light dusting

Duragloss #601 followed by DG #105

Trim treated with Mothers Back to Black

Windows - Stoners Invisible Glass

Wheels sealed with DG #105

Tires - Black Magic gel (I know, I need to upgrade my tire stuff)



Interior Process: (Sorry, no interior pics, got too excited about the exterior)

Vaccumed

Carpet mats cleaned with woolite 10:1 and wet/dry vac

Interior carpet cleaned with Megs APC 10:1

Leather cleaned with Woolite 10:1

Leather conditioned with Lexol Leather Conditioner

Turtle Wax F21 Super Protectant on dash, plastic, and panels





Im still learning how to take pictures (i.e. lighting, positioning, etc.)

Excellent work. Its really hard to do that kind of color justice.



Constructive criticism:



Your tire dressing looks a little blotchy/runny in that after close up of the wheel, maybe try a different applicator



Also, big bonus to be had if you clean the inside of the wheel hoop. Really easy to do and makes the wheels look 100x better. Those MB wheels are pretty easy to do too b/c a small brush will fit back there easily and the spokes have wide openings.

Thanks for the criticism, I'm not too happy with the way I did the dressing either.



Yea, I tried cleaning the inside of the wheel but my combo (wheel brush and car soap) wasn't cutting it.
 
I think the dressing application is not the problem, the problem is that the sidewall design makes it look as if there are some blotchy spots on the tire when Im sure thats not the case. I used to have tires like those, the dozens of raised fine lines in the design.

I use an APC and a long skinny brush with a flexible/bendable shaft... wish I could remember where i got this brush b/c its perfect for this kind of stuff.

nice work, it's hard to get a real descent reflective wet look to silver but you've done it.:goodjob
 
I started to use the EZ Detail auto brush with P21S wheel cleaner and have great results with them. Great job on the Mercedes nice and wet!:2thumbs:
 
Nice job on getting rid of the swirls....car looks great. Getting the inside of the rim will take the right tools and some patience....but I think it's completely worth it.



Again...great job.
 
Paint looks nice! You should try to clean the wheel backs, dress the fenderwells, (as mentioned earlier) try a different applicator for your tire dressing. Also that turtle wax interior stuff is terrible, its silicone based like armor all and leaves a greasy finish that attracts dust.



Try something like 303 protectant or optimum protectant plus for the interior, much better than that f21 stuff ( I tried it once just for the heck of it, it was so bad it got demoted to fenderwells only).
 
- clean wheel backs

- dress the fenderwells

- different applicator for tire dressing

- different interior protectant that is not silicone based
