Fireworks set off on cars?

Our area has seen a few incidents with kids placing fireworks directly on top off on top of vehicles and setting them off. I'd like to offer to help mitigate the damage as best I can.

I know the diffinitive answer is a body shop, but know most people can't afford/don't want to pay for that.

I am curious if anyone has seen this type of damage before and if claying/polishing/sealing would be beneficial or pointless. I know I can't correct the damage or even significantly improve it but would like to be able to help as much as I can.

I would be offering this free of charge.

I'm waiting on pictures /inspections. Did a search for this type of damage but only seen firework fall out damage.

Thanks!

Also does anyone have a ballpark estimate of cost for a shop to respray a small area like this? I know it'll vary, but I'm Interested in coordinating with a shop to offer a respray.

To refinish a panel would cost $100s. Probably $500 or so would be my guess.

I would probably just start least aggressive and go from there. Start with wash/clay and see where that gets you. Then try a light cleaner like PB pro polish if the clay didn't do much. Worst that you'll find is that the damage is in fact thru the clear coat and it needs a respray regardless. You could also find that it is all just on the surface and can be polished out.
