Total Detail time 7 1/2 Hrs.

Right well, i never got round to finishing the wet sanding on my bumper as the car has been in and out of the dealership for the last 7 week. The car had induced a lot more swirls by the dealership and some nice scratches on wings etc.

So Cleaned the car two bucket method using TW Nano wash and cobra MF sponge. Used SB Gun with SS Foam.
Dried with pakshak WW towels
Wheels cleaned with megs wheel brush and strong mix xxxxx liquid.

Touched up the rest of the bumper and left 48hrs to cure.

Washed car again (same method as above)

and started on the wet sanding. 2000 grit pre-soaked 4 hours before use, Also used some Megs QD spray for lube.

Car then washed again and dried.

So i then attacked the bumper with PC with 4" light Cut LC spot pad, with SSR2.5 as used before, as the sun was directly out i did not get rid of all the swirls i had a bottle of menz IP knocking around but did not like how it dusted / dried so i tried a combo of menz IP mixed with SSR2.5. This worked a treat.
It got all the light marks out and really made the flake pop.

I then inspected the rest of the car to find that the rear spoiler was in a sorry state and PC was not getting the marks out at all so out came the wet sanding. So Same as the front but no touching up was required.

After a wash and dry i was left with this

I then tried SSR2.5 with 4" light cut pad again i was not happy with the out come.

So i tried the mix of SSR2.5 and Menz IP which did the trick.

The rest of the car was done with SSR2.5 and IP with 6" light cut pad then a coat of megs #80 with white LC pad.

Coat of EX-P left to cure for 2 hrs ( while i had some lunch)
Buffed off then x1 coat of megs #26 topped off with mothers TCR.

Trim done with megs gold class trim restorer, Tyres with Megs Enduramce gel.

Inner wheel archers treated with AG V&R care.
Exhaust treated with autosol and then megs NXT.

I ran out of time to do the inside.

As i finished it started to rain so here is a couple before the rain.

ah if we could only have those cool cars in the states:0 Evenm you family sedans are cooler then some of our sports cars:)

Wow, excellent work! I love the way the flake pops on the bumper after the polish! I haven't been brave enough to tackle wetsanding yet, but I'm going to learn soon and hopefully I'll be able to get some results like that!

That last pic is unreal... the clarity and depth of that picture really shows the quality of your work :) Makes me want to wetsand my rear bumper... not to mention the front to get all the paint chips!

Wow...I didnt think that you would get that out with a light cutting pad and just 2.5. I would have thought you'd need atleast a heavier pad or a more abrasive product....

Looks Great though, love the flake shot. What is the name of the paint color?

It took some real work to get the marks out with Light cut pad, As i didnt have cutting pad.

I did actually destroy a brand new 4" pad in the proccess.

The colour of the car is GM paint and is called Midnight Black in the UK.
