Started working in my moms black 99 Infiniti I30 yesterday, and finished today. Well, I'm not exactly done yet, I still need to clean it up, do the windows, etc. I love working on black car, the results are soo much more rewarding than on my white Mustang.

Here are the stuff I used:

1. Washed using Dawn

2. Black Magic Clay

3. Washed using Meguairs Gold Class

4. SSR 2.5 with Propel Orange

5. SSR 1 with Propel Green

6. Klasse AIO by hand

7. NXT applied with Propel Blue pad and buffed out with MF towel.

I'm happy how it turned out. The car had bad swirling/scratches all over and I got rid of most of them... There are still few left, but I'm not gonna bother with them... I'll make some outside shots once it's stops raining (thank god for garages).

Perfect reflection, nice work! I really need to pick up some SSR... I've been seeing a lot of great results with those products.

Thanks.. yea the stuff is great. Very easy to work with and great results. This was my first time using the PC and I had no problems whatsoever.

Wow what a mirror finished. :up :bow

Do you have any oustside shot w/massive sun ray?

obtw, SSR is in major backorder :(

Wow, you have inspired me. I am now even more anxious to get after my truck. I am going to use almost the same process you did. Except, AIO and SG by PC as well. LSP by hand probably.

Thanks. I still need to get some SG and see how that is. Most people don't recommend applying it by machine though :nixweiss

Here are couple of outside shots (sorry, no direct, bright sunlight since it's been raining and cloudy today...)

Oh yea... anyone who used SSR before, how much do you end up using on a car? I've used probably about 1/3rd-1/4th or so of each bottle for each pass  I don't know if I'm using a little too much...

Looks great!! I hope I get half those results on mine.

I'm pretty sure you will. Just take your time and you'll be happy with the results... This was my first time using the PC, and it's extremely easy and forgiving if you screw up... Nice 5.0 btw :xyxthumbs

1/3 to 1/4 of the bottle for one pass?? I haven't even used my PC yet, but that sounds like WAY too much product. It seems that most products, if not all, should be used sparingly. How can you afford to keep using Poorboy's at that rate?

with proper washing the car should never get back in to that bad conditionagain and never need that much product again

and even if he used 1/2 of each bottle thats only $13 total and the car looks great

question what speed did you run the pc at?

Well.. now that I've looked, it's prolly more like 1/5th of the bottle. All shaken up it looked like a lot of it was gone but now that it settled, it's not too bad...

I start with the PC set at 2, spread the product around the area and set it to 4 till only a very slight haze is left... After that I buff it out with MF towel.

I use about 1/8 of a bottle on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I use a little QD on the pad and it extends the use of SSR's. I use SSR2.5 with such great results, I usually follow up with a glaze, then wax. Your car looks :bow :bow :bow fantastic!!!!!

Good to know, I'll just be easy with it. Any opportunity to get a direct sun pic yet?

Thanks for the 5.0 compliment. I saw your stang in the background, those silver letters look sharp.:wavey
