What did you do the checker floor with?

By the way those cabinets look really good. For those in Canada, sorry but your outta luck getting Coleman cabinets as O'Suivan went bankrupt, and the new owner of the mfg is only selling to Lowes.

I picked up the connects from Griot's Garage

Griot's Garage 1-800-345-5789 - Car Care

The site says they're brass now. Mine are stainless.

The checkered floor is simple peel/stick tiles from Home Depot. About 20 cents a pop. The nice thing is that they score/snap like real tile so you can make clean fitments.

What did you do to prep your floor? I've been researching this for my new house and it seems very labor intensive. Did you go to the extent of etching it with muranic acid and renting a power floor scrubber?

The Rustoleum kit comes w/a bag citric acid cleaner.

It prepped/etched the concrete very well.

Almost a year since the install and there's very little tire pickup or damage from jacks, stands, dropped tools, etc.

Love the cabinets, I picked up some myself.

For anyone who's interested, I believe they are being discontinued and are on clearance at my local Lowes...

NICE! I love the cabinets. Coleman? Did you buy the pieces of the cabinets as a whole or did you buy them individually? Regardless, its a model for what all garages should be. A nice 40" flat-screen and some satellite tv would blow that garage UP!

No sags after a year, and I have things like car batteries and jacks on some of these shelves.

I think the adjustable feet really help w/leveling the shelves and that helps w/warping, etc.

If I allowed all that in our garage, Id never see my husband. Absolutely beautiful job. But I still want to see my husband.
