Finished Garage Pictures - Lots of Pics!

Looks awesome, do you have a fridge in there? Do you think the floor will peel if your car sits on it for a while? My Dad was having that problem on a painted floor. He found this rubber mat that he car park the car on, kind of like an all weather floor mat.

Steve,

Thanks for all the comments guys. These last pictures I added were towards the end of summer I should update them because I now have another detailing cabinet my dad made.

I do not have a fridge, however we are looking to get one in the spring because it would really be nice to have some nice cold pops and water out there.

The floor is peeling a little bit in a couple places but that is because I did not cover it very thick I suppose, and I had a lot of epoxy left from our second box. We will be re-epoxying it this spring just to make it look like new again and do any touchups on the white from a year of winter and me making a mess with details :)

Thanks again!

nice garage! im starting to detail, and have the same floor in mine. i also like the cabinets! i was wondering - in the winter - are you going to lave all those products outside??? they might freeze and be destroyed!

Matt

Hey Matt,

Nope in the winter I move all the products inside the house and then just take them out to the garage if I have a detail scheduled and turn on the heater :) Right now it is around 10 degrees and heavy snowfall...Glad I moved the products in awhile ago :chuckle:

Wow very nice set-up, nice and big as well :2thumbs:

Thanks FifthGen! Just got inside a while ago from giving the car a nice ONR. The music sure helps me forget how freezing I am haha. Unfortunately the epoxy floor is seeing it's fair share of slush and crud this winter. Cannot wait until spring so I can go back to my cleaning and organizing the products on a weekly basis haha :)

Will update this thread in a little bit showing how filthy it is right now and the new cabinet I have in there.

Only wishes...

Nice, very nice.

One thing, is that enough lighting when the door is closed? I only see two over head fixtures.

That looks awesome Josh! It was probably posted but I missed it if it was. What did you use on the floor?

I am sorry that I missed this thread when initially posted but have to say that I enjoyed the thread very much. I also have to say that I am very envious of the whole space.

Congratulations on the complete body of work!!

Thank you all for the kind words :)

Rob- Ooooh yes that is enough lighting to light up the space. I will get the specifics from my brother, he is an electrician and these lights are the brightest white you can get and the ones bodyshops use. I mainly use these lights for lighting and then I have two dual halogen stands I move around the car.

Bob-I used the Epoxy found at Lowes called QuickKrete, it took 2 boxes and out of fear I put it on a little too thin. Because of the salt and all the abuse it took in the past year, I plan on recoating this spring with another box.

Your missing a work bench

haha :) That was one rule of mine to my dad, he couldn't leave his workbench in there. It was originally right in the dead center of the garage on the back wall and I wanted that space open. Sooo he was forced to move his workbench out to his shed out back where he does all his wood working and projects. Plus...Im not much of a handy man so the only good it would do me is to hold my pop :D or give me an excuse to bring my laptop out there and stream real time my detailing sessions haha

I just built a work bench in my garage, thats why i thought about it.

Even if you arent handy a work bench is worth its weight in gold.

Im starting a thread on it today when i get home from work.

Bob - You need to get your eyes checked. :p Went back and looked at the pictures and because of the sun and shadows I could see how you thought that lol

Coupe- Looking forward to seeing your thread!!

Nice setup Josh. It must be a dream to have such a sweet spot to work in where everything is organized and you have easy access to.

I gotta get up of my butt and do something w/my garage.
