Finish with 106FF or FPII?

So how does Menzerna FPII compare with its predecessor, FPI?

I ask because in a side-by-side comparo (via Cyclo, silver Audi, previously corrected) I preferred 1Z's old Pro MP over the FPI. Yeah, I know, the MP leaves stuff behind and the FP doesn't, but still, it made the car look better and MPing the FPIed area didn't show any benefit from using the FPI first.

Gee, all my ravings must sound like I have the ole "1Z goggles" on whenever I look at my vehicles :o

Yup, those two polishes are exactly the same. Leave it to Menzerna to make things faaaaaar more complicated than they need to be. :)

Thanks SB, then I'll try it :woot2:

FPII is *much* finer than FP. FPII has zero ability to correct. Seriously, zero. It's nothing more than a gloss polish. It takes me at least two (and on harder paints three or four) applications of the stuff to really bring out it's best. Honestly, I don't think there's a polish around that can match it's ability to gloss up the clear, but it is alot of work to get it to do it. To me it seems like it's 85rd with smaller abrasives and about half the total amount of abrasives.

Hope you like it. :)

SuperBee364- Ah, OK, thanks for the info (on FP vs. FPII). Sounds like a purist's version (i.e., nothing left behind) of 1Z's Wax Polish Soft (another zero-functional-cut polish).
