According to Greg Nichols, Leda said they are working on getting a new distribution set up.



So I take that to mean the people who ran the old one are no longer in the fold. You can't take off going on two months, and then have people ordering directly from the company, and voicing their displeasure about "FK1usa.com" without some type of fallout. jmo



Like you said, I guess we'll see. I know what I would do if I were the factory though.

She confirmed that when I spoke with her. People are discussing this at the highest levels at FK so something oughta come of it. It seems they're suddenly realizing that there is a pretty good-sized nonprofessional market for their products and they're apparently serious about exploiting it.

Accumulator, since it appears that FK1 was just a distributor I wonder if you asked Leda or anyone else at the real FK for the scoop on the coveted FX-100? I didn't even think to ask when I was talking to her.



For all concerned, my order with Leda went very well. I sent her an e-mail, she later called me for a CC#, then sent me an invoice to approve. I received my gallon of 425, tin of 1000P, and a tin of Pink Wax a few days later.

What do you mean about the FX100 eliotness?



Was it a FK1 exclusive or something?



I asked her for a gallon but said they were out.



All I have is like 3oz left of a sample someone sent me.:grrr
 
I asked Leda for FX-100 along with the 1000P that I ordered. She said none was available (FX-100), she would let me know when it is.

It wasn't an FK1 exclusive but they've been out for about two years. I just thought that maybe the real FK might have some or know for sure if they had discontinued it.

FWIW (since FK1 is no more) I ordered two bottles of FX-100 before FK1 ceased (Torrey said he was testing the waters with it again). Still have a bottle and a half left, and I forgot how well it works. It looks like I might need to start budgeting it again :hmph:
 
I don't really understand the FX-100 part...so FK1 was selling it but stopped because...? Is it just a coincidence that FK-Leda is now out of it and doesn't know when it will be available? Or is that why FK1 didn't have it?
 
He supposedly told me he made a very small batch of it. What's different with it is it does not separate like it did before. Still the best spray sealant I have ever used (never used UPGP).
 
I talked to Leda today and she told me that she could have the guys mix up a batch. I didn't know how many people wanted some so I thought I would pass the info on.



Did anyone have high ($50+) shipping charges? I'm getting several gallons of stuff but I thought it was a tad high.
 
FYI i talked to leda today (friday 31st) and she is taking next week off so if you placed an order with her today it most likely will not ship until next friday the 7th.
 
Just wanted to let everyone know that I received a follow up email from Leda (yesterday morning) and she said that they'll be making some FX-100 and should have it by the end of the month.
 
Talked to Jitu Jhaveri or JJ who is the President of Finish Kare and he said that there web page is being worked on and should be up at some point in the near future. Also the 1000P wax tin is being replaced with a better one that has directions and for the automotive market I think.



This is what he said about application for 1000P:



YOU HAVE TO LET THE PRODUCT HAZE AND BECOME DRY. WHEN U WIPE THE PRODUCT WITH A FINGER IN A SMALL AREA IT SHOULD COME OFF COMPLETELY. THAT IS AN INDICATOR THAT PRODUCT HAS DRIED AND IT IS READY FOR BUFFING. NORMALLY 20-30 MINUTES, BUT IF WEATHER IS REALLY DAMP AND COLD LITTLE LONGER.



FOR 2ND COAT YOU SHOULD WAIT 24-48 HRS.

I'm sure if you email her she'd be glad to sell you whatever you need. You won't believe the prices. I also got quotes on 5 GAL units for next time and those prices were even better.
