Well, I thought there was a thread on this asking how long it lasted, but I can't find it now. :rolleyes:

Anyway, within days of reading this, I see a guy at a store looking at waxes, carefully reading the labels, and he chooses Finish 2001 (or just Turtle Wax 2001, as it's now labelled)! I figgered I'd keep me mouth shut and just read the can. Maybe I was missing something.
So, aside from the neon green, the first thing that jumps out is the safety vest orange sticker that says "One application lasts 1 Year."

Ok. So I'm thinking this guy went for the "low maintenance" wax.:-p I read a little further, and notice that it's "fortified with urethane." :bigups No, wait....I mean :confused:

What would urethane in a wax do? Does it increase longevity? Better shine? Puts more paint on your car?

Anybody have any "better than :bsflag " thoughts?

(the "puts more paint on the car" was, obviously, BS......at least, I think it's BS!)
 
Urethane? I think it is some type of polymer. If it is a polymer it would be similar to teflon or something like that.

Marketing is KING!! I'd be willing to bet that if labeled all brightly, crisp and clean, and some fancy text was added -- dogsweat would sell. It's all in marketing. Were the consumer is king. I mean if everyone was educated in this Billion Dollar a year service industry (car-detailing) would anyone run their car through a carwash tunnel??
