Finally tried Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal today..

Wow, very impressed. The 2 things that stuck out right away was how freakin slick it made the paint and how much it made the already great Z2 shine look really really wet. I'll def be using this for shows and cruises. What really impressed me was my wife even commented when she went into the garage for something on how wet the paint looked and she didn't know I used something new. Very cool.

Guess I better get some.

BTW, if anyone needs some of the stuff and if you are a place that can't be shipped to. Let me know, I don't mind going to get it and ship it out to you. Since I can get it locally 10 mins away.:chuckle:

I really like the slickness and gloss Z8 produces over other zaino products. It can be used over other sealants and carnubas as well.

I've only used Z8 over Zaino, and I've only used 425 over other stuff, but there really is no comparison. 425 is a great QD, but it has only limited longevity. Z8 over Zaino really provides a lasting slick surface.

I'd have to say that Z8 is my favorite Zaino product. Very easy on and off and even on bare paint, it gives 4-6 weeks of slickness and beading. Plays well with other sealants too.

Z8 over Vintage lol??

I love Z8 I use it at least twice a week during 3 seasons. I go through about 2 bottles a year.

One tip to get more out of it is to put it into a bottle like a eye glass cleaner as it spritzes a much finer mist. I might actually order one of the Ultima UPGP sprayers to put in the Z8 bottle as it spritzes so fine.

My wife and I met another couple for dinner tonight and we got to the restaurant first. My friend also has a G and keeps it very clean too. As usual I parked in a different parking lot away from all the other cars and naturally my buddy did too. When they sat down his wife said..."your car looks so good, it's is so shiny." So I smiled and proceeded to tell him he has to get Z8 too. His car also always looks great so I'll love to see some Z8 on there.

I stopped using Z8 because I found that it attracts dust like crazy. Anyone else experience this?

FWIW, instead of Z8, I have been using DG Aquawax. I think it looks just as good if not better at a fraction of the cost:secret

I thought it was just me... Yes I noticed a LOT more dust then usual after applying Z8

I wonder how a product that can feel so slick attract dust for some folks? I have never experienced that issue with Z8.

All products will "attract" dust to a static source. You might want to try de-magnetized MF's (MF's that have enough time to discharge any static electricity created during drying).

If dust is adhered to the vertical and horizontal surfaces, static is the source. If only the horizontal surfaces - environmental.

No product "repels" dust.

Dust is an environmental problem that is worst in some areas (nearby construction, dry area, industry, urban pollutions, high traffic areas, etc.)

Any dust the "settles" on Z8 normally blows off within a block or two in my case.:xyxthumbs

This is not unique to Z8 but all non-greasy QD's that I have used..

Not only is Z8 my favorite "Z" product and favorite spray sealant... it is probably my favorite detailing product... period. :D

I have not found it to attract more dust than any other product. However, to be honest, I don't pay much attention to dust. I have a "long" dirt/rock driveway, and have to deal with dust no matter what I use. :sadpace:

I initially didn't care for Z8. I had issues with streaking. I read that adding some distilled water cures that problem in high humidity areas. Since then it's been a breeze to use and has a cool glow.

For me, it's a toss up between Z-6 & Z-8. I love Z-6 for removing dried water spots or other surface deposits that are very noticeable on black. Then I follow up with Z-8 to add the slickness. I put both products in Meguires Quick Detailer bottles long ago. Meguires nozzles spray much finer than the Zaino and don't leak all over your hand. I love Zaino but their spray bottles leave much to be desired. Yes, you can use Z-8 over carnauba. I use it over Souveran and CMW all the time.

I have both and have used both a lot. Z8 is my absolute favorite. I also agree most products attract dust especially carnuba. I always laugh when guys worry about $5 to $10 for a superior product, when they are working on $35k to $45k cars or more :nixweiss

AW is a nice OTC product that for me mutes metalic paint big time especially from multiple uses.
