Finally, the Cobra Detail

Been trying to get this car done for about two months now. It's a 1997 Mustang Cobra that sits outside 24/7 and is almost never cleaned. If it is, it's done with the one bucket, old wash brush scratcharama method. Inital condition of the car was awful. As you can see, lots of inperfections. Swirls, scratches, etching etc. On to the befores...

Wish I had more after shots. The skies were darkening considerably, so I wanted to get the thing under cover ASAP. I didn't get all the swirls out, but I'd say 90% of them, which isn't bad considering I was kinda rushed through the detail. Didn't get to do a few things that I would've like to like dressing the wheel wells and polishing the exhaust tips and wheels. I may go back tomorrow to do that. Your comments are welcome.

^ Thanks for the comments. I hated to see such an awesome car in such shape. Definitely a rewarding detail.

I used the PC. Car was repainted, so I wasn't sure of the clearcoat thickness, so I decided to play it safe. I learned that the owner works out of town and the thing sits outside and the last thing he wants to do is wash the car after a long week of work and travel. It pained him to see it like that so he had me do it.

^ Haha, yeah, you're right. I rushed to get the thing under cover and half forgot and half ran out of time. It does look bad from that angle doesn't it? I'm a failure.:howdy
