A few months ago I began buying some new detailing supplies. Yesterday and today I got the opportunity to try some out on my PBM 04 GTO.
A few months ago I pc'd the car and coated it with 3 coats of Z5.
Yesterday I tried out my DP wheel gel, and Pinnacle shampoo. Prior to this I had been using Zaino wash. The pinnacle shampoo is a few notches above the Zaino in terms of slickness and lubricity...and the smell is so amazing. I was very satisfied with the DP wheel gel also. After washing I went over the whole car with Pinnacle Souveran spray wax and parked it inside the garage for the night.
Today, I went outside to the garage and coated the tires with wolfgang tire gel, then went over the wheels with souveran spray wax. Prior to the Wolfgang gel I used Zaino. At this point, I am undecided on which I like better. The zaino seemed a little easier to apply, but it was almost watery. The Zaino gave more of a matte finish. I then went over all the rubber trim and cowl with Pinnacle vinyl and rubber conditioner. I am very happy with this product. Really deepened and seemed to bring back the rubber trim.
Then I went over the car for the first time with Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax. WOW. I could immediately tell a difference in the depth and warmth of the paint. It even took it to a level past the initial application of the Souveran spray wax. After what I read I was worried that it would mute the flake...but so far, that is not the case. The paint has a glow and darkness and depth that I could never achieve with Zaino, and the flake looks totally different too. I removed the Zaino with 2 Cobra indago towels. These did very well at removing the wax.
I apologize for the bad pictures, but it is cold and rainy outside, and I am not about to ruin this work of art by pulling it outside. Better pictures will have to wait for another day. I cannot wait to see it under sunlight.
Anyway, onto the pictures.

Once it warms up, I am going to go over the whole car with Menzerna PO85RD, then top with Wolfgang 3.0, then follow up with Pinnacle Souveran paste wax. And use all my new Pinnacle Products on the interior.
Oh, and sorry for the dirty garage.
