Finally got that mp3 player!

how do ya like it?
after contemplating over the last 3 months about getting a mp3 palyer, i finally decided to buy one, after i dropped my walkman player. heres the model that i got, the iriver 190-T. whats cool about it is that i can record my voice, and songs that i hear on the FM radio, along with listening to my favorite songs that i ripped off of some CDs :). so i guess i can be detailing AND listening to my favorite music now.

you guys got any mp3 players?

I just bought a 15gb ipod ..... Never thought I would buy an apple product but let me tell you impressive is an understatement! Being that I do a lot of computer consulting its great to have a portable hard drive that I can also have my music on ect....
 
I don't do the MP3 thing. I like my music on discs for some reason. I do have a minidisc player and all my discs are in MDLP play. That is basically the same thing as MP3s on normal sized CDs. The headunit in my car is an MDLP comatible MD player and I've got a 6 disc changer under the passenger seat if I feel the need to listen to a CD. If I lose my MD player then the worse thing that happens is I have to replace the disc that is in it. If you lose a player with 15 GB of music on it.... well, you see what I'm saying. They are really cool, but I can't really see myself getting one anytime soon.
 
I just bought a 6-disc in-dash CD changer for my car with MP3 capabilities. That gives me about 60 hours of non-stop playback in my car. I love it, all I have to do is burn a couple CDs with MP3's on them and pop them into my head unit.

Congrats Zesty, that's a nice purchase, I'm tempted to get one for myself ...now where can I find some mp3:naughty :naughty haha don't answer that please, don't want the RIAA to come after DC:-p

I've got a friend at work in IT that swears by newegg.com. I think most of our stuff comes from them. They seem to be a really good company.

They do tons of orders and they get your stuff to you FAST. They have some little pay $2 to have your item rush shipped thing... thats a total waste because they rush ship every order! If you order in the morning or very early afternoon depending on the day, they will even ship your order out that same day. And they do tons of orders every day.



Oh yeah, I have an older mp3 "jukebox" that works nicely, but I dont seem to use it. Ive either got the PC on or the vacuum going most of the time and those get in the way of the music. So I dont use it much. When I work on my own car at home though, I hook the mp3 player up to some speakers and go with that.
