Finally Got It Right

Gen2

New member
After gathering all the experts' opinions from the forum, I started to detail my car again over the weekend. This time I did some changes in the products I used and the process. Here is how it goes,

wash

clay

wash

#80 with W8000 and rotaty

#80 with W8006 and DA polisher

Mother's Sealer and Glaze with 3M polishing waffle pad and DA polisher

2 coats of NXT with 3M polishing waffle pad and DA polisher

12hrs later

Soft99 Authentic Gold carnauba wax by hand

Normally I apply S&G or NXT by hand but after using the DA polisher, the result is very much better as compared to hand application.:xyxthumbs

Only manage to take some photos today and yesterday it actually had half a day raining. But the car still looks pretty wet. So here is some photo to share and any comments or advice are welcome :D .

Dress those tires!

The paint looks incredible! Once again it's proven that OTC products can compete with expensive boutique products. :up

Thanks for all the comments.

And Paul, you are right. After all the polishing and waxing no more energy left for the wheels, so most properly will be doing them this coming weekend.

Hi Lee

Soft99 is a Japanese car care brand, quite common here in Asia countries but I think not so in the west. But I think you can do a search and find out more about the wax. One thing I observed after applying the wax is the water beading is very good, the water beads are small and tight and the water beads on the hood actually start to move towards the windscreen when my car only hit 60km/h.

Manage to get a pic of the Soft99 Authentic Gold Wax,

This one of their best wax in their whole range, cost me around S$20.00 (US$ 13.00). I believe this product is not going to discuss much in this forum, but love to share some good experience with the bros and sis here.

Hi Mad iX, thanks for the comment. The DA polisher I am using is RupesBR65AE and below is a pic showing how it looks like,

It actually has a side handle attachment for better handling like the PC. It has a operating speed of 2000opm to 7000opm and a power of 550watt (pretty powerful too).

Hello WrxRob513, I'm from Singapore. After started visiting this forum, got pretty serious with car detailing, spending more time and money on the car and car care products:p. Hopefully will not get out of control until my wife start to complain:D

It is a Proton Gen2. If you are from UK, Aus or some asia countries you should be able to see it locally. Btw where are you from, WrxRob513 ?

Hi boom-boom, glad that you love Singapore and my car too :D . Where are you from and any chance you will be dropping by soon ?

P.S. Don know what happened. My post appears before boom-boom. That's funny.
