Finally Done: 1987 GN (pics)

Intercooled

I finally finished dong a complete detail. I had a new paint job 3 years ago and I finally took all the steps to remove the body shops rotary swirls.

I worked on the car for about 2 weeks doing a panel here and there. I am so pleased with the way everything turned out. there are still some minor marks that can be seen in direct sunlight. I'll eventually get those out.

I want to thank everyone here! I have learned so mush over the past 2 years.I was able to accomplish this with confidence from all kinds of input from you guys/gals.!:D

I was always kind of afraid to "get into my paint" particularly my black paint.

Here is my process and products used:

dawn wash

clay entire car

dawn wash and rinse.

IP with LC orange pad. (working a few areas more than once)

FPII with LC white pad.

AIO with LC white pad. (just to remove residues and do extra cleaning)

EX with LC black pad

Soveran by hand

Sonus glass cleaner

AIO on wheels then sealed with PB Wheel Sealant

1Z Tienfenlger on black bumper stips and air damn

Z16 on tires (one coat)

AA on the wheel wells.

Here they are:

Intercooled absolutely awesome both the car and detail job! That's one of my favorite cars some day I plan to get one , after have a turbo regal I just feel in love. Are those 17"s torque thrust , the car looks very clean with those wheels. Again great job car looks better then the day it left the dealer.

Thanks, they are 16" torque thrust. I believe its a hard car to find rims that look good on it. They have nice recess and a muscle look.

WOW!!!!! You can tell you put a lot of work into it. That looks phenominal.

I've never seen any pics of you car before, I love the wheels, if I had more money they would be on my car as well, lol.

Paint looks spectacular though!

PS: Get those badges back on your hood!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind gestures! :D

This is my first car picture post.

Of course I'm still learning, any criticisms or suggestions are absolutely welcome.

That has got to be one of the finest GN's that I have seen. Great job with the detail, and AWESOME car! I love those cars! :up
