Well I have been here a while and learned a lot!! - I have even posted a few questions and responses - but I figured I had better post some pics of my work!!
here are two cars that got a quick detail over the weekend. The first is my own car - a 2001 BMW 3-series in titanium silver. This car got a decent winter prep about november last year with clay, Autoglym SRP & EGP. Since then it has had a few coats of EGP added whenever I could, but honestly I have been very impressed with the durability of that combo (the AG twins I mean). Recently it also got a quick coat of P21s.
Anyway - this weekend it got a good clean with Zymol Auto wash (the green stuff that is readily available), dried with the Autoglym synthetic towel and an MF to make sure it was dry. This was followed with a coat of P21S - I am amazed how easy this is to apply and remove!
The black plastic parts are treated with AG 'Bumper care', which is a gel product that leaves a great semi-gloss sheen and seems to last forever - it actually makes the plastic "bead" water which is cool!.
The tyres and wheel wells have armourall applied with a small sponge. The glass has been cleaned with AG glass polish which I highy rate - very easy to use! I have also applied Rain-x to the screen and rear window to help visibility.
Hope the pics are OK - any comments welcome or perhaps other combo's to try on this colour!
Ok - this other car is my girlfriends 2002 Audi A2 Sport. A pretty cool car made entirely from aluminium. This does a lot more miles than my car and is far more difficult to clean with all the salt onUK roads at this time of the year. This car is also for sale at the moment and had a prospective buyer coming that day to see it. so it got a more thorough detail inc. Wash with AG shampoo, clay in area's with Meguiars Quick Clay. This was followed by AG SRP and a coat of P21s. The black plastic has been treated with Armorall applied on a sponge and the same on the tyre walls. Glass cleaned with AG Glass polish. I have a couple more pics of this car too - if anyone is interested that is - let me know!!
Thanks
Graham
