Final product for showing...

OK, I'm curently using #7 with #20 and then #16 on my single stage paint...

I am going to be showing my car off at the car clubs annual show - I'm going to have to drive the car the 150 miles there. After much partying - the next morning I will be washing the car etc and getting it ready to put on show.

What do people recommend for a final spray on product to give it that extra zing?

I could wax it again that morning - but would prefer something I can just quickly put on and wipe off.

Preferably available in the UK too... though we seem to be able to get quite a range here now...

Diluted Eagle One Wax-As-You-Dry leaves a wonderful (though short-lived) gloss behind, and has been pretty user-friendly. Apply and buff as you would a quick detailer; however, I'd use a QD first, then apply WAUD to a clean surface.

Dunno about UK availability, though . . .

Best of luck in your show,

Tort

I'm with Greg and Mr. Clean on this one.

A little better than Quick Shine in the gloss and slickness department.

But the one you really want is the "ridiculous" (plagarising here, sorry) 1Z Raindance Lackfinish Detail Spray. Unfortunately, its still not available just yet but should be by end-of-this-week or early-next-week. Meguiar's Final Inspection is not bad either and is avail locally. I have used Final Detail, FI and QS and have on pre-order the 1Z Lackfinish spray.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions...

Im not sure if I want to buy £25 worth of Final Detail! - can only find it in 1 gal containers over here. (someone should really put this in to bottles and sell this stuff - to order)

As for the 1Z stuff - not sure if it'll come over here to the UK quick enough...

So looks like Im going to have to plump with the Clearkote Quick Shine...

I know everyone will probably laugh at this suggestion but, have you tried Meguiars consumer Quik Detailer? It is cheap and readily available at most auto parts stores. I use Final Detail now and just got a gallon of its replacement (Last Touch) but, I have always gotten great results with Quik Detailer as well.

I agree that Quik Detailer is a fine product. I always have a bottle in my kit. I do give the edge in gloss and slickness to Final Detail. Plus FD is a more cost effective.

Final Detail, when you can find it, is only available in gallons. If you are comparing it to QS, FD is far less expensive.
