FINAL DETAIL / LAST TOUCH is there a $3.00 difference?

Final Detail is claimed to not be bodyshop safe, supposedly because it contains "silicones." But, no "silicones" are listed on its MSDS.

Last Touch does list "silicones" in its MSDS. But, it costs $3.00 more per gallon.

Something in there just doesn't compute. Is there a REAL difference between these products besides the name and $3.00?

I will let you know as my shipment will be coming in later today. From my understanding, the chemists did make some changes for the better in the Last Touch.

I just received it! I will give it a try a little later when I get time. But I can tell you, they changed the smell of it. It now smells like a cross between Banana and coconuts! Too bad as I really LOVED the smell of the Final Detail! :(

I tried out some 4* spray wax plus yesterday and am so impressed with it I'm switching to that. At $18/gal you can't beat it. WARNING- it smells sooooooooooo good you want to drink it.

Hey Nick,

Yep---I have found the new Last Touch to be VERY slippery! The gloss is very similar to Final Detail, but I have found the Last Touch a little easier to work with. All in all, I know that Last Touch is an excellent replacement for Final Detail!

I think I still have a gallon of Final Detail to run through, but after that, we'll try it out!! Good to know that it is easier to use. The Final Detail Sprayer is immaculate!!
