if thats not suggested what really makes that stuff shine and sparkle?

Frankie,

I currently use Corys Ultra High Gloss Piano Polish on the Burlwood trim in the MB. Corys provides a very high Glossy Finish, it also has UV protectors to prevent sun damage. Also very easy to use and doesn't leave any residue. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Do a google search to find a dealer. You can also try contacting local Piano Shops, many carry it or will order it for you. Cost is about $13.00/Bottle which should last 1 year or more depending on how often the car is driven.

Yes, I have. I have real wood trim, though it is coated. I use Final Detail on it when I dust the interior. Occassionally I'll put a wood wax on, but I use Final Detail mostly. It does give it a nice look. Not super shiny, but I wouldn't want that. Gives the wood a nice appearance. Give it a try if you have it.
