i am just curious what this new "flextool" is and where can i read about it?

There are two different companies mentioned in this thread. One is Festool, other one is Flex. Festool model is RO 150 FEQ.

I am looking to upgrade from a pc but I want your opinions on the flex or festool. Which one is better? Will they give better and faster results then a pc?

Another (banned) member on here, PolishAndWax, posted some information regarding a detailer friend he has that did some comparisons between the two. His friend liked the Festool a hair better and thought it finished up about 2% better in terms of shine than the Flex. The Festool is $440, and the Flex is $269 however. So, you have to ask yourself if that 2% is worth the extra $171.

I've had my Flex for about 2 months now, and really, really, really like it. I've posted some reviews on it with plenty of pics. Both polisher would be much quicker than the PC due to the higher OPMs and forced rotation. If you are not ready to move up to a rotary, then I would personally recommed the Flex. For the price, you get a lot of correcting ability. I did a black Acura MDX this past weekend that was absolutely hammered with scratches and swirls. The Flex with an orange pad, Menzerna IP, and speed 6 cut through them like butter. Now, keep in mind that Honda/Acura paint is known to be a little on the softer side. And, I was not able to get all the scratches completely out. I think you would've had to wet sand some of the really nasty ones. I can't really talk to much to the Festool as I don't have one.

It's too bad that ZoranC was banned too as he was getting ready to do a multi-polisher shootout.
