Ferrari's on the Circle

My day at the Ferrari Club's 6th Annual "Ferrari's on the Circle" event-

:wow: There were A LOT of incredible cars there! :excited:

It was very crowded, and a bit difficult to get pics without people getting in the way, especially when you are dealing with drool (mine and my dogs  )

Didn't stay to see which ones got the trophies but they were all winners to me.

You can see me and my new Retriever in the reflection. This one looks black in the pics, but it was actually a deep metallic brown.

This one is a Jaguar and a dirty one at that. They didn't even bother to wash it for the show!:hmmm:

It was a beautiful day and I wish you all could have been here. I already put Charles in a bad mood when I told him where I was going yesterday. :D
I hope this doesn't depress all you guys suffering with bad weather right now. Florida has it's negative's just like every where else.

Great pictures! Do you know if the S7 was the twin turbo model? I'd love to be able to go to one of those events.

Couldn't tell you. I'm a car buffer not a car buff, so I just know they were Ferrari's :lmfao.

Great pics of the show and it looks like it was a beautiful day for it.

Seems like there is even a new forum, just for such pics.
I hope others will make use of it as well.

Had trouble deciding where to post these pics. Since the concept cars forum wasn't getting much use, I changed it to a Car Show forum. I hope it gets used as well. :excited:

The S7 was the Saleen. It can come as a twin turbo model which puts out 750bhp. It's my ultimate dream car.

Here are a couple more pics of the S7 just for you. :bigups;

The color among other things made it stand out over the others. The color grew on me, now I think I will paint my truck that color.

It's the twin turbo model. Thanks for the extra pictures! I'm in awe of that vehicle. I've seen my fair share of exotic vehicles, but I've never seen a Saleen. If I ever won a lottery, that would be my first purchase.

One of my good friends had a chance to spend an hour talking to Steve Saleen a while back. My friend has a Ford GT with some of Saleen's after market parts on it. The conversation turned to Steve what do you drive? He answered by saying the same thing you do a Ford GT. My friend asked him why not an S7? He somewhat jokingly responded I can't afford one those. :D

Troy, you do know that the S7 isn't Ferrari? It is a 427 Ford powered super car.

I think my best friend would kill for a chance to have a chat with Steve Saleen. I'd definately like to have an afternoon to pick his brain.

I think the only thing he did to qualify for this privilege was to spend a few thousand dollars to purchase Saleen's parts. My friends has both a Ford GT and Saleen Speedster. He said he talked with him for about an hour and wasn't made to feel as if anything was more important than the conversation at hand. He said Steve is a very personable guy and recognized him the next time he called.

I knew that the Saleen was Ford, which threw me considering it was smack dab in the middle of all the Ferrari's in a Ferrari show. I'm a dummy when it comes to exotics. I figured it was some sort of Ferrari-Saleen hybrid. :crazy2:

wow I can't believe a supppppppppppppppppppppper rare XJ220 WOULD GO TO A SHOW DRITY!

The wheels and tires looked awful, a sure sign that the owner doesn't take care of it.

Saleen Inc. is their own company and have been producing street vehicles since 1984, only one year after being in business. Along with their own line of vehicles, Saleen Inc. produces a lot of performance parts for various manufacturers. Ford contracted Saleen Inc. to produce parts for several different models as well as being one of the key suppliers to the Ford GT. So while most of the vehicles they work on and improve are Fords, the S7 has no ties to Ford whatsoever.

For the record, I actually knew most of this, but google helped a bit with the exact year of their first production vehicle(I knew it was mid 80's).

Like I said, I knew it wasn't a Ferrari or a Ford :notme:, I was just seeing if you guys knew your stuff. :D :gotcha:

BTW, thanks for pointing out my ignorance about Saleens, you are both fired. :chop :crazy2: :lmfao

I thought we were about education here.

I didn't know much about cars until about 6 years ago. I can't tell you how much money I've dumped into car magazines in the last 6 years though.

BTW, nice ninja edit. :notme:

While I was drooling over the S7, I forgot to mention this beauty. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Ferrari F40. It's a very rare sight to see and is considered among many enthusiasts as the best road going Ferrari ever. Back in it's day(late 80's), it was a beast, but with the amazing top speed of the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg CCR, and McLeron F1, all with top speed of at least 240 mph, the F40 seems a bit slow in comparison at 201 mph. This vehicle was built with nothing other than function in mind. It is what the definition of a supercar should be.
