Ferrari F430 Spider, E55, SL500, Range Rover

Worked on this fine stable this past weekend for a regular client of mine. Each vehicle had it's specific areas of interest and no major correction was in store for the day...





First up, le Range Rover. Normal levels of soil from daily driving, just clean it up and make it shine:



-Zaino Z7 Wash

-P21s Wheel Cleaner on wheels

-EFHI cut 6:1 on tires, wells



-Chemical Guys VRP cut 3:1 in wells

-Zaino Z16 on tires

-Zaino Z8 on entire exterior

Next was an '03 SL500, 67k on the clock, recently acquired by the client's father-in-law. The car was pretty dirty and had pretty heavy swirling. The owner didn't really care to have the paint burnished down and asked for something simple...



Interior

-BioKleen Bac-Out on carpets, mats (let dwell)

-Zaino Z9 on leather (let dwell)

-Steam clean everything



-Zaino Z10 on leather

-Zaino Z8 on trim, jams

-Stoner's Invisible Glass on glass, gauges

-Zaino Z-AIO via PC and LC CCS German Green Polishing Pad @ 6

-Chemical Guys VRP cut 3:1 in wells

-Zaino Z-AIO and #0000 Steel Wool on tail pipes

Next up, the E55. Detailed a few months back, but thanks to a careless body shop painting the front bumper cover, now full of overspray. I was pressed for time so I worked *over* it and pretended it wasn't there. I will tackle it next time, but for now:



-Zaino Z7 Wash

-EFHI cut 6:1 on tires, wells



-Zaino Z16 on tires

-Chemical Guys VRP cut 3:1 in wells

-Zaino Z8 final wipe down

And for the main event, the F430 Spider.



Can't give enough accolades for this car, I just love it. I worked on this one a few months back and it's always garaged and climate controlled. Owner has driven about 550 miles since the last detail. Normal levels of dust and for some reason the rear window oxidized over (???). I polished that with Z-AIO to perfection, but neglected to snap a pic. Anyway, just had to make this one look beautiful.

Great work Sean, I notice from the pictures of the Ferrari that it has a clear bra applied, did you have any problems with it and product build up at the edge?

Bryan: I used a Zaino terry applicator and some elbow grease. The oxidation wasn't terribly hard to remove with this combo, but the results were wonderful.



rydawg: It's great. I've been meaning to increase the amount I use it (engines, wheels, jams, etc), but for now, it rips through interiors.



Lee: Initially when I detailed/waxed it, I had to use caution around the edges. 3M makes a very thin painter's tape (like 1/8th inch) that works wonders for taping off the seams. I have yet to find it again, but there is a clearbra installer in the area that gives that and a bottle of Plexus to his customers post installation (great idea). If wax/clay was stuck in the seams, its tough...If you try to dig under the seam with a towel, you risk lifting it off the surface; if you press too hard with your nail, you risk thinning out/weakening the bra. So yes, prophylactic measures are imperative.

Very nice ! Your still turning out really good work, I remember when you had the teg lol. The merc looks especially nice as does the rari. Well done!
