I wouldn't have thought of doing that. Speaking of washing, be sure to wash your window cleaning materials separately from your other MFs.

An extra rinse in hot water as well.

Truth be told, I sometimes don't do this, and I think my MF cleaning concoction saves me with the extra rinse :).

In most cases I use waffle weave MFs and our glass cleaner. For really dirty glass, AG Glass Polish is awesome, but there is a trick to it. I apply it with an oval foam applicator and use very little. Using too much will make it difficult to remove. One bead down the centre of the pad and go back and forth until it almost disappears. The left over residue is easily removed with a short nap towel. WW towels do not work very well with AG Glass Polish. If you are having hazing issues with a newer car, most likely its the toxins etc gassing off from the interior materials.

Yep,that's just how I used it. It can be easy to use too much and then making it difficult to remove later.

Thx everyone, when i wash them i first soak them in a dawn wash and then do maybe 2-3 full wash cycles on my window towels alone. And also they are dried seperatly too no no worries there, but i really thinking they are gettin old. as far as waffle weaves go, what is a good place to look for them specifically for glass use. I really cant find any thing like this on pakshak, thx

OK, thanks, that's what I figured.

I'm having a terrible time with the glass on the inside of my car. It almost needs to be cleaned every darn day. I haven't found anything that seems to really get the glass clean, I don't know what's causing it, but it's the worst of any car I've had. (I'm starting to wonder if the 303 I used on the dash a couple months ago is causing it. Somebody else mentioned the same :( )

Tom, this interior glass film you speak of is quite common. The plastics and interior materials out gas which in effect cause the window film. This is more prevalent in newer cars. It will also occur more in the hot summer days because high temperatures inside the car will cause the interior materials to expand more and release more out gas. Best bet is to clean the interior glass as often as possible. As time goes by this will get better. 303 does not cause the film, unless what you are seeing is residue from you spraying it on the dash and and it splattering on the glass... in which case I suggest the use of a sponge or other applicator to apply protectants.

Thanks, Erik. It's definitely not over-spray from the 303 which I applied only to the dashboard. It's fairly uniform fogging, most noticeable on the front and rear interior glass. I'll just keep cleaning!! I suspect the condition will improve with the cooler weather.

I did get some WW glass towels from PakShak, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them. They worked *GREAT*....until they started leaving MF lint behind. And yeah, I did always wash them separately so it wasn't some contamination from my regular/plush MFs :grinno:

Huh, never tried washing those  When mine get too bad for auto use I generally demote them to dipstick-wiping duty and household tasks.
