I was wandering what your favorite towel is for removal of sealents?

I have been thinking of getting some of the DF Towels but cant find much info on them.

Also do you like alot of nap and plush towels for removal of sealents or do you like smooth ones?

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

‘Sonus Der Wunder Buffing Towel’, a two-sided towel one side for buffing and one side for use with a QD, I prefer a med plush type towel for removal, i.e. some nap to grab the residue.

Alpine DFâ„¢ Towels: (www.dftowel.com)

Use all-natural cellulose micro fibre spun with long staple cotton that is then woven in a terrycloth fabric. Compare this terrycloth with those of other manufacturers. The first thing you will notice is how much softer it is. Also take note of the larger terry loops used. These larger loops allow for more fabric to come into contact with the surface than other terrycloth’s.

Alpine Microfiberâ„¢ is DF's trademark for micro fibre yarn. It is a process that combines 100% natural materials into very absorbent and soft yarn that will not scratch whatever surface it comes into contact with.

Traditional polyester/polyamide blend terry cloth Microfiber towels have fibres with hooked barbs for grabbing power, which makes them excellent towels for cleaning and scrubbing, it also means that are more likely to put micro scratches in your paint.

~Hope this helps~

I'm new at trying to seriously detail my cars but I really like the ultimate detailing towels from autopia. They work really well at removing sealants, waxes, etc.

Depends on the sealant. The various "final buff" towels work great with any LSP, but I sorta prefer the suede-style MFs for removing KSG.

Hmmm..thats interesting Accumulator, never see suede style mentioned except for maybe leveling with Langka. You get your suede mfs from autopia? microfiber tech?

Bill D.- I got my suede-style MFs from both CMA (the Max) and TOL (Ultra-suede, I think they call 'em). The TOL U-S bonnets are sorta becoming my go-to product for LSP removal. Over foam pads on the Cyclo (heh heh, there I go again with the Cyclo stuff :D) they just zip the LSP right off with hardly any effort at all. Though as I said, I prefer the Max ones for KSG.

Suede-style MFs *do* seem to load up sorta fast though, gotta have plenty of 'em on hand.

I love my PakShak towels, Miracle towels (blue), and Cobra detailing towels but hands down, the best ones I have for removing polishes/waxes/sealants is Meg's Ultimate Wipe towels. Has a nice 'bite' to them, doesn't bunch up, can handle a decent amount of product before getting clogged and still buffs pretty well.

In the 20-pack at least, it's a decent price too.

I use the big Pakshak ultras. I also really like the poorboy's ultra plush towels I like to have a good amount of nap for removing polishes.

I love my DF towels they are so soft! I want to wash my face with them! My favorite for QDing. You will have to break them in though they lint at first.
