Favorite Soap for Foam Gun

I got a sample of DP Extreme Foam that seemed to work real good. This most recent time I used a little of my CG citrus wash n gloss and it seemed to work just as good too. What do you guys use in your foam guns?
 
I use DP Extreme Foam on a regular basis. I have also used CG CWG & Megs GC. My only concern with using CG CWG or CWC is that without the proper dilution they will strip off you LSP. But that is why I have them and use them.
 
When you use it do you spray the car down and leave it to dwell or go straight into washing it off? I went straight into washing but I read a post where someone left it to dwell while they cleaned the wheels.
 
I do both. I like to do a thick initial foam and let it dwell for a couple minutes. I then come through and rinse the car off. I do find it helps to release some of the excess built up dirt and grime. I then change the ratio on my Foam gun to a more wet foam and re-spray each section as I wash. I also then rinse the section off right after so I don't have any soap drying to the paint.

On my initail thick foaming of the car I foam the wheels and wheel wells as well. This helps me to get everything clean and begin to loosen the dirt and brake dust. I currently use wheel wax (looking to switch to PB Wheel Sealant when my Wheel wax it gone) on my wheels which really helps.
 
CG guys give thorough instructions on their soaps when used in a foam gun.

Whether it's stripping or just a wash, they are easy to follow.

I bought a foam gun and two 16 oz soaps from them for about $50, on sale.
 
Question. I have foam gun for my hose.. I have not been able to get actual thick foam.. I can get some suds but not actual foam like I see people get with power washer.. I use cg maxi suds ii and it gets suds but no foam. Is it possible to get a good layer of foam with hose?

the gilmore has different mixing settings on the stem that lets you control the mixture. verses just a "one setting" gun. love my gilmore. one of the best "detailing tools" i bought.
