Favorite Polishes For PC

Everyone keeps saying that this or that is great because of little or no dusting, why?

What is wrong with dusting?

I don't want to pretend I know something when I don't.

You have to clean up the dust when your done polishing.

Its nice not haveing that extra step after polishing.

My 2007 car has very light light swirl from regular washing for the past 5 months. Many of the swirl were caused by the dealer washing. (That's another story) The paint is in great condiition. Should I use Optimum Polish with Edge2000 Orange or Blue pad? Is it safe to use Optimum on new car or I should use the XMT 1 since it less agressive than Optimum Polish.

Again, thanks everyone for suggestions.

Do you already have the Optimum Polish? If so, try it first with the blue Edge 2K pad. If you need a little more power, then move up to the orange Edge 2K then go back down to the blue. Optimum with a blue pad is going to be plenty safe. Its my last step before the wax.

The orange and blue edge pads are my only current pads. I may get a 4" cutting pad (yellow I think) for my wife's beater.

No, I plan to purchase Optimum from Autogeek tomorrow before the discount ends.

Chalk my vote up to ZPC for all around flexibility and then to Menzerna IP and FP after that. For bad stuff, I like the wide range of stuff you can do with poorboy's SSR 2.5.

I would try the green light cutting rather than the blue.

The green pad isnt a polishing pad (at least not according to AutoGeek) The guy wanted to know if the blue pad would be safe, or should he use the white polishing pad. Green has more cut than the orange pad.

what about presta polishes?

I use the presta polishes and compounds a lot and have been for 15 years.

I love the ultra cutting creme light on a yellow lc pad or white pad. Goes from dull to gloss in one step with no fillers or silicones. My favorite light compound.

also: Menzerna 106ff finish polish

zaino zpc is also awesome (great gloss) easy to use

Ohhhh I can't wait I got some Optimum HyperCompound and Optimum Polish :) I already have some Poli Seal and man on man that stuff makes your car shine!

Up til now, the "harshest" compound I've used is SSR2.5, and while it's done a great job, it's not enough for some of the nastier jobs on hard clears that I've experience.

I've used Optimum polish and be WAY less than impressed. It cut less than SSR1.

Can anyone recommend an aggressive polish that will only take one more finish step before the LSP stage? I only use a PC btw.

Thanks.

That is odd. What pads are you using and what speed on the PC?
