Favorite paint color?

Look at the crystal metallic red on the new jeep Cherokees. I was torn between that and white. I did go white but that's just me.

As I've gotten more and more addicted to detailing I've started to inspect the paint on random cars and really appreciate the freshly detailed cars I encounter on the road. This got me thinking what's the best-looking color I've ever seen and what color might I repaint my own car... At first I thought black right away because I love the reflections, then I thought about that Hyundai Genisis blue, but once I layed eyes on a freshly detailed Ford F150 with Ruby Red Platinum paint I knew I found my favourite color car paint (for now of course). Why that color you might ask, well because I don't even like pickup trucks (at all), but this one looked so good that I kept thinking of it days later. The color just looks so rich with depth gloss and reflections to die for!

So what's your favorite paint color and why? (Pictures or paint color name would be ideal)

P.S. if anyone has this color paint on their car I'd love to see more pictures.

I have quite a few colors I love.

Saleen Lizstick red, an $18,000 option from Saleen. The black car is called the Cherry Bomb. It was a give away car for a Midnight Club video game. It has Lizstick red and black mixed together.

I also love Ford's new black metallic color. Not sure what it's called, but I would love to have a car in it.

I like all the dark colors. I couldn't decide so I have a Crimson Red Cadillac. A pacific Blue Jaguar, an Oxford White Saleen, Midnight Black Cougar and that about covers most100_0666.jpg of my favorite colors.

My favorite color has to be BRG.
My Red Miata has a terrible cheap respray, full of failing/chipping clear-coat. I'm in the process of stripping all of the paint and priming it. Hoping to rent out a paint booth and changing the color to BRG. Hopefully will look something like this

That is really a good looking color. I don't know why, maybe from our local Barber Motorsports Museum, but when I think of a green sports car it is Lotus.

I think for me, IMHO, black is the most gorgeous color - not metallic black, but pure, deep black. With the right car, nothing is more rewarding than standing back and gazing at the perfect finish on a freshly detailed black car.

All of our cars are black - my buddies think we're nuts, haha.

Man, that ACR is sweet! The newer Vipers are such awesome cars. Really think Dodge did well with the new ones. The body lines are more like the '90s.

I know why because Lotus is British and they frequently used British Racing Green (that dark forest green). I also think of Jag's and Lotus's when someone says BRG :)

My favorite paint color by far is BMW's TechnoViolet Metallic. It's a purple metalflake basecoat with a pearl red and pearl blue over the top. Spectacular color, and amazing to look at under a loupe. More common (if purple could ever be common) on the E36s and stupid rare on the E46s. I miss my M3.

Also in the race for me are VW's Ice Grey Violet Metallic, BMW's Carbon Black and Audi's Sable Brown Mica. All stunning colors in changing light, and each one their own individual nightmares for bodyshops all over the world.

Yep I do love a good deep metallic British Racing Green. My first gen MR2 is getting that when I can justify the money. British Racing Green exterior, golden tan and black accented Leather Interior, and some perfectly clean and sparkly Enkie RPF1 wheels to offset the green. Then it sits in the shop and will be meticulously cared for and driven on the weekends... haha Perfect car to take the lady out on cruises, turn up the stereo and go wine tasting. I may even put on a tie. lol

The best colors I've ever seen are either custom or done by TVR. H.O.K (House of Kolor) Blurple and TVR's spectraflares are amoung the most beautiful and wild paint's on the planets. OEM's, San Marino Blue, TVR's Racing Green, Lexus Pearl Blue white, Ford orange/yellow metalic (Focus ST) and Ford Metalic Black (2015 Focus ST) + Volvo Polestar Blue aka Swedish GREEN!

+ Papaya Orange for those who know a little automotive history about brits and racing colors ;)

Not a single green.

I think you're alluding to my forum call sign, Dogfather. The truth of the matter is that I haven't had close up experiences with many greens, just my Honda, Signal Green 911 GT3 RS, and my '89 Wrangler. I need to 'feel' more greens out before I can say "that one is my favorite".

Actually I lied, now that I think about it, I do like BMW's Dark Olive Metallic.
