Favorite fillers...

I know we all hate to do it, but sometimes you just have to fill the swirls instead of remove them. For dealerships and cheapskates who don't want to have them removed.

So, what are your favorite products that do the best job hiding swirls/spider webbing/scratches?

I currently use Meg. Cleaner/Wax when doing dealership cars. Any other suggestions?

I picked up some Meguiars Speed Glaze this week, and I believe it will be good at filling swirls. Tests will be forthcoming. Also, when I was at the shop, I noticed a 3M product called "Fill n' Glaze." Imagine that. I wonder how many body shops are hiding their mistakes with that one. I might have to try it out for fun if it isn't too pricy.

I hear a lot about the "Pro's" line, where do you get it?

I don't know if I'm just fortunate or what, but my local Finishmasters can get me anything from Meguiars or 3M the same day in most cases. There is a great distributor in town that stocks it all.

I can get Meguiars Pro, Body Shop, and Detailer lines, and I believe almost any 3M I would want.

Look in your local yellow pages for an auto refinish distributor or paint supply. If you’re desperate and willing to pay shipping, I would be willing to ship something to you.

laynlow, I currently get Meguiar's and 3M et cetera products from Carquest. They are same day most times since there is a warehouse in Denver, downtown.

BUT, I don't think we are talking about the same "Pro" line, I don't think Intel was talking about Meguiar's Pro.... are we on the same page or am I in the wrong book? :)
