People seem to like the one-step cleaner wax. I figure because it is cheaper. I have only used mostly otc products like meg's cleaner wax and mothers carnuba cleaner wax. Just wondering which was your guys favorite, if any of you use cleaner wax?, cuz i wanted to give something else a shot thats not OTC

thanks

ps i was think klasse aio, but i heard it gives a great shine, but doesn't offfer much protection at all..but not sure about that

I don't think people use the one step products because of price. I think most will use it for the time savings. Paint cleaning or even swirl remover along with protection all in one step is a huge time saver. Not sure of what are good ones, but Megs #66 has made a name around here. Poorboys PwS will be a good one too in the future (light polishing, cleaning and sealant).

I to would agree that alot of people want the one stepper becuase its cheaper, customers that is. I have meguiars #66 that seems to work well. I like to follow it with ocw.

no i meant my customers seem to get the one step more. reading my post again, i should of made that clearer. sorry

meg's 66 huh?..alright im sold...ill give it a try

Ah well that makes sense too. Less time = less money for the customer. It may also be that they don't know the differences between a 1 stepper or polishing stages, paint cleaners and waxes/sealants.

Just a few #66 links b/c I have never used it before...

My favorite one step or AIO is Vanilla Moose. Yes it is a AIO product. It's full name is Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze. It cleans, polishes, glazes, and protects. You will not find an easier to use product either. Second place goes to the non VOC compliant version of Klasse AIO. I hear the newer stuff isn't as good but the older stuff I have is very good.

What would you charge to do an all in one for customers..$$$

Joe, Vanilla Moose has very mild corrective abilities. Detailing is my major hobby or obsession it's not something I do for a living so I can't tell you what I would charge for a one step.

I could never make a living at this. I am much too slow. I take my time at every thing I do in a detail because I consider it fun and am in no rush to finish. I can easily spend 3 hours just washing and drying the car.

For example, yesterday I spent 6 hours under the hood detailing the engine compartment. Cleaned everything by hand and dressed the plastic guards, treated all rubber hoses and seals, polished the painted areas and sealed, etc. The engine was very clean to begin with but I still spent 6 hours on it.

I will add to the votes for #66.
I'm on my second gallon. It has a spot on my shelf.
I've also heard some talk on other boards about chemical guys laser buff which is a one step. I can't comment because I haven't used it. Said to have high initial cutting that breaks down to a fine polish.
Maybe another option?

Well, that is not true! Klasse AIO offers great protection! But I don't use it on it's own. It's a base coat for any great topper. Depends on my mood, I will top it with PB EX or P21S...

Anthony, boy does that sound familiar,I spent about 4 hour's detailing my John Deere tractor this weekend,it look's awsome and is a good way to burn up old product. Funny thing is the neighbor want me to do his tractor now....lol.

I too am to slow and too old to be crawling around doing this and hardly have enough time to keep my own stuff looking mint, working full-time and a side bus. selling some product's, playing drum's ect....
