I spent most of the day on the phone with the family and realized that I hadn't given any updates as to the situations regarding my family, before I moved down here. You may remember that things were pretty much in chaos before we packed up and moved. My dad was involved in a car wreck, my older brother had knee replacement surgery, and suffered a heart attack, and my other brother has cancer.
While my dad was in the hospital, they gave him some new medication that he had a reaction to. He didn't know who, or where he was. His mental state, at that time, was a real mess. It was really hard on my mom! They finally got that medication out of his system, he is now home and doing fine. He has a new car as his old Contour was totaled.
My brother that suffered the heart attack, had to have a quadruple bypass. The doctors weren't very optomistic after the surgery as some complications developed during the surgery. The next morning, he was sitting up and they were able to remove the ventilation tube. He even got to go home for the weekend after the surgery, but had to return on Monday. He is now home and doing very well. His knee replacement surgery was a complete success, also.
My other brother, Duane, has amazed the cancer doctors. There was a massive tumor in his chest that is all but gone now. He has no more pain in his hip and collar bone. He is still going thru radiation and chemo, but the results have been a true miracle to me. We have been very close all our lives, and leaving him was the toughest thing I have ever done.
All this was going on while we were trying to pack, arrange for movers, put our house on the market, and get everything else done that needed to be done. I forgot to notify some people of our change of address, but the PO (like it or not) will have to deal with that until I can get the rest notified. I did the best that I could, under the circumstances.
I love my new job, and Dwayne has been just GREAT to me. I can't thank everyone here at DC enough for all the support you have shown my family and me during the stressful times we have dealt with over the last couple of months! I really believe in the power of prayer, and feel that all of you helpped to make my situation better for my family and I. Here's a big:bigups to all of you. Thanks again.
