Extreme wetness from AIO plus Souveran...

Some have debated before on the classic merits of sealant v. carnauba...maybe the right answer is a combination of sealant base and carnauba toppers for the best of both worlds.

Here is AIO plus two layers of Souveran wax:

Here is a nearly full side shot...a bit washed out but still good...

Your car looks awesome, and I agree 100% - I really like putting a carnauba over a sealant. My current favs are ex covered in Natty's maintained with OCW. I really like OCW over Zaino, too.

Thanks everyone. :)

I will try to get some flake shots soon...dodging sun here as we are about to get some rain in Atlanta...

Sunlight has been terrible today but here are some flake shots per Sean's request...

Note: the camera I am using was set at lowest resolution so I will try to add some better ones later if the sun comes back out!

Your car looks great, but......your car always looks great. The way you take care of it, Finish 2001 would look good.:)

FWIW, I have used several AIO/??? combinations and they all looked great.
Not to take anything away from the Souveran, but you don't have to spend quite that much money.

Some combos that looked good.
AIO/UPP
AIO/S100 Carnauba
AIO/ NXT
The AIO/UPP is defintely my favorite.

Gee, do you think the AIO might have something to do with our results?:)

Charles,

I give equal credit to AIO and Souveran. I have tried P21S and UPP on a small panel but did not achieve the same results. I have not tried NXT on my car but I was not impressed with it on the wife's car.

I think Souveran is important due to its wetness. I may be able to achieve close to the same results with Blue Nattys and Trade Secret. Blue Nattys is on the wife's car and it looks great. Have not tried TS yet...

Awesome - that's some fine looking paint. Kind of making me want to go for that color when I get my lexus... must resist!

Picus, I think you would like it. It has a great flake content that my photos don't do justice. I hope to buy a Nikon D70s or D200 (not yet out) soon.

Beth, I like your site a lot. Can I link to it from a music site?

Beth is actually my wife, I pimp the site for her. She says yes, you can feel free to link it and she appreciates the compliment. :)

RE: the paint - I've had 5 black cars in a row, so I was going to ween myself off them with Lexus' gunmetal grey (not sure what it's called), I've always kind of thought silver was a little bland, but looking at some of the flake in lexus silver is kind of making me re-consider. We will see!

Your paint looks outstanding!!!

Interested to hear how you like Trade Secret. I couldn't tell a difference between that and Souveran.

Looks great especially for that color, easy to do that to a red or black but you have a superior shine on that silver. Souveran and AIO are a nice combo.
