Extreme Depth Liquid Carnauba Creme Wax + X-Seal and Pro-Polish + High Gloss?

Any reviews (or could someone please make a review) on these two products from Chemical Guys?

I can comment on the Pro-Polish + High Gloss, as I used it this weekend for the first time and was very impressed with it.

It is silicone free, so my experience has been with this type of product, you better put it on thin and work it good, otherwise it takes a little elbow grease to remove. This has been my experience, perhaps other have not seen this.

Once I accomplished figuring out how much to use, it was a real pleasure to use, and the results were awesome. Having used Optimum Polish the weekend before on two cars, CG Pro Polish gave me a similar type of shine/gloss after polishing. Looked good, almost as if I had glazed, if you can visualize that.

As for the polishing, it removed the swirls that were on my clients car easily.

The smell is pleasant...cant put my finger on what it is, but it is pleasant.

Give it a shot...100% satisfaction guarantee. I believe you will end up keeping it as it does do a good job.

Chris,

Thanks for all your replies on the CG product line. I have used the Extreme V.R.T., the Extreme Top coat Sealant, and the Leather Scent Air Freshner. Very pleased with all of them. I have the Pro Detailer 1x Carnuba coming.

A few questions for you:

(1) Would you follow the Pro-Polish High Gloss with the Extreme Top coat Sealant?

(2) Does CG make a product that would strip the wax and sealant for when I am ready to start the full detail process over again?

(3) What CG prodcut would you recommend on exterior plastic moldings? I love the V.R.T. on rubber ie. tires and rubber trim around the windows, but did not have great success on the plastic moldings between my side front and back windows. Looking for something that will not sling or run. I am leery of the oil based Extreme Shine. My car is a 2005 Ford 500.

Thanks.

ndak,

To answer a couple of your questions:

1. You can follow Pro Polish with Ext Top Coat, Butter Wax, Ext Depth, or XXX Paste Wax to name a few products.

2. To strip wax/sealant you can use Revive, Crystal Glaze and Polish, Laser Buff or any compound CG has.

1 & 2) You can follow Pro Polish+ with either a Sealant or a wax...your preference.

Think of Pro Polish+ along the lines of Revive Polish, minus the silicones. With Pro Polish, what you see is what you get. There are no fillers, etc. It cleans the paint, removes swirls, leaving you ready for your LSP

3)Make sure that your plastic panel are in fact plastic, and not a black tape. I was surprised to find on some Fords and Mazda vehicles that what I though was a matte plastic was in fact covered by tape. So, it did not matter what I was applying as it had little effect.

I believe VRT has now been replaced with a newer formula called All Guard. One is matte finish, the other has more of a shine.

I have the VRT and like it alot. I have found the Extreme VRT to be better in certain situations that VRT was not able to really impact.

When all else has failed, the Liquid Extreme Shine has done the job.

Hope this helps.

Just tried the Extreme Depth Liquid Carnauba Creme Wax + X-Seal today on my white Ford 500. LOVED it.

I polished, sealed the paint with Chemica Guys Extreme Top Coat Sealant last weekend.

Washed my car today with Alfers Distributing Black Cherry Soap/Wax (local product made around Pittsburgh). Applied some of the Pro Detailer + 1x Carnauba on my waffle weave towel while I dried the car.

Applied the EDLCCW by hand with a DF Concours towel and removed with a DF towel. The wax spread very well. Removing the wax was a joy. Came off with little to no effort. Did not leave any white residue behind as advertised.

Anybody else try this wax yet?

Looking at CG's site, it looks like the Pro-Polish and the Extreme All in one Polish and Sealant have the same abrasive level. What is the case for which one to use. If you are already using the Extreme Top Coat Sealant, is there a need for the Extreme All in one Polish + Sealant?

I guess you could think of them in the likes of AIO and SG. I have used the Pro Polish + and like it but I must say that it was very limited use. Whenever I can get around to one of my own cars I plan on mixing it in with some other products. From my understanding, the Pro Polish is a "what you see is what you get" product. It's on the thick side but has a long working time.

Ok, so Exterme All in one Polish and Sealant would be like AIO and Pro Polish would be like SG. Would the The Exterme Top Coat and Sealant then follow the application of these products?

No. The All In One and the Extreme Top Coat are like the AIO-SG 1-2 punch. The Pro Polish is a finishing polish.

Forgive me because I am new, but what do you as a finishing polish and where would it fit into the equation of the 3 products we are discussing?

The Pro Polish OR the All In One could be used before applying the Extreme Top Coat but there really isn't a need for both as they are both abrasive(about the same). Pick one or the other. The All In One smells like cake mix!!:)
