What kind of nozzle do you all use when you suck water up with a shop vac from carpets? I am having trouble getting water out of carpets with my 5 HP Rigid Shop Vac, but I think it is because I am using a bad nozzle.

Accumulator said:To really get much of the moisture out you need an *extractor nozzle*, which has a *much* more narrow opening than normal "vacuum nozzles" (you want one with an opening of just a few mm, not wide enough for much solid dirt to go through).
Find a replacement nozzle made for Bissell or Hoover home/consumer-level extractors and DIY some means of attaching it to your Rigid (don't worry, it's pretty easy to figure something out).
I even use these on my Century extractor, which came with wide-opening nozzles that leave too much moisture behind. The narrow openings aren't as necessary with the Century, but they do still work a lot better.
