Exterior trim

I have tried several diffrent types of dressings for the exterior trim. I have not been able to find one that does not run onto the paint after applying it to the vehicle. I don't know if this is due to the heat from the sun. All of the dressings that I have used have been oil-based. Does anyone know of a way to stop this or a dressing that will stay on without running down the paint? Thanks, BLUELINE 1

Welcome to the site, as for a dressing oil based is one of the problems, are you buffing with a towel to get the residue off?.....I would start with Poorboys trim restore after appling use a towel and buff to get the residue off, then I use Poorboys natural look and do the same process of buffing this should help if not stop the run off.
