2007 Honda CR-V

This is my Uncle/Aunt's vehicle who is from Colorado (I'm in Ohio). They bought the car in Indiana where my Aunt's mother is. They are driving it back to Colorado tomorrow. Hopefully not too many bugs will be there, but if they are, they should come off real easy.

So the car is brand new, and honestly I thought it looked decent all though there was a ton of brake dust and excessive tire dressing. I was actually shocked w/ the results I got after "properly" detailing it. No swirl removing or polishing was used.

Time:

2.5 relaxed hours

Payment:

$80

Process:

2 bucket method with NXT and Shmitt

Bug/Tar w/ Tarminator and Megs Body Solvent on the front

#0000 steel wool with Water/vingegar 50/50 mix on all windows for any water spots and to restore clarity

Front windshield polished with Klasse AIO and blue edge pad, PC speed 5.5

All glass cleaned with DP's Krsytal Vision

Chrome polished with ECM Hot Chrome and white Edge tips

Trim protected w/ 303

Headlights applied Megs Plast-X by hand

Front bumper protected w/ Klasse AIO

Exhaust tip shined with DG #870 Aluminum Polish

There was also some leftover plastic protection on the hood of the car that dealerships/factories use to protect new car paint. It was all over the edges. Goo gone and a MF and some elbow grease and patience took care of it.

Sealant:

DG105 w/ Edge White pad on speed 3. Let flash for 30 min and buffed off.

(I was going to use DG101 first, but decided not too)
