Exterior black plastic

Is there anyone else out there that just hates the excessive amount of black plastic that manufacturers are using now (and have been in the past)? I see so many cars here in FL that have severely faded and even chalking black plastic. Why do car makers think it is a good idea to use this junk on the exterior? I have referred a number of customers to body shops in the area who have removed the plastic and correctly painted/clear coated it, then put it back on. What a difference that makes!! Why can't the designers make cars without any unsealed black plastic on the exterior? It just doesn't hold up at all! This stuff is junk! Stop using it car makers!!

i dont mind it.....less for me to buff out lol......all u need is a good all season dressing and it looks better then new

because it's cheap. in case you haven't noticed . . . . cars are getting more expensive and more corners are being cut. It's bad enough that most all cars come from the factory with orange peel. Manufacturers are just getting cheap.

ValuGard's ETR Kit (Exterior Trim Repair) is the proper fix, especially for Jeeps, Saabs and Volvos. It is a three step process, and the learning curve is sorta steep, but a caveman can do it, with practice.

TIP: Needs a full 24 hours to properly cure. Do not allow it to get wet during that period.

Has been a 'lifesaver' on heavy over-spray issues.
