Expired Zaino ZFX looks like what?

I have some ZFX left that is 2+ years old. The Zaino website says that the usable shelf life for ZFX is 18 months. So what does expired ZFX look like? Does it dry up? If it's still in a liquid state is it good or does the "expiring" happen on a chemical level regardless of whether or not it's dry?

What about Z5 and Z2, are they fine regardless of age if not dried up?

I've already ordered and received some new Zaino products for the new car but I'm trying to decide if it's safe to first use the old products or not.

Thanks. What about the Z2 and Z5, do they just dry up when bad?

No, they have a much longer shelf-life. They should be fine to use unless they smell bad and/or are curdled.

I have a 5 year old bottle of Z2 that now has kind of a butterscotch orange color to it. The smell hasn't changed though and it's still the same consistency. I admit I'm reticent to use it, but it's probably okay.

The difference between old and new ZFX is very distinct. As mentioned, it becomes much more viscous over time.

If you can dispense the ZFX, it is still prefectly viable and chemically perfect. Use it with confidence.

Old Z2 too, if still a constant emulsion after shaking, is good. I have some Z2 circa 2001 that I use over Z2PRO and Z5PRO for that extra "POP" (extremely glossy) that the old Z2 produced.

If you look at the FAQ section of Zaino Bros website you'll see it says for optimal results use before the shelf life. I've used the products after the shelf-life defined and I haven't had any problems.

If ZFX gets hard before the shelf-life ends, it's because the tube was sealed incorrectly after use OR it was exposed to extreme heat or cold. To avoid problems, follow the recommendation to store the products between 65 and 75 degrees.

Sal Zaino has replaced ZFX with no questions asked when it solidifies before the end of the shelf life. (so do I as one of his few distributors)

He continues to work on a polish product without an additive but THE TECHNOLOGY ISN'T THERE YET.

He knows that the hardening is an irritation to his customers so he continues to improve the product.

Actually Sal updated the ZFX about 8 or 9 months ago and the present ZFX has an improved anti-gel agent. This gelling problem should be a thing of the past within the shelf-life of this products (18 mos) if stored (65-75*) and sealed properly(tightly). :xyxthumbs
