Exotic Car Show - 1st Place

What I found interesting in this event was that there were 3 judges that would inspect each car using identical score sheets. Each judge was given appx 30 min per car. It was open hood and they inspected door jams, wheel well arch lips, etc etc.

I outscored some serious cars and on the drive home thought about how much time I spent worrying about wax, when in fact the shine of the car does not play that big of a role in winning. It's in all the other details that we tend to overlook.

:)

Thanks everyone! Took me 3 weeks to prepare for this one. I was up till 2am the night before going over the motor with a Q tip ....no sh*t.... it's a sickness....

F355...what a beautiful car !!!!!

Congrats on the win. I can't wait for the weather to clear here on the East Coast and for the show season to start.

This car is a daily driver. I have other cars, but I drive this every day, at least once, to bring the oil up to operating temps. The worst thing you can do with a F-Car is to park it and only drive it once a month...much less problems by running them every day...and they like to be driven at high revs.

Yes..I did drive it to the show...

Absolutely stunning!

Glad to hear you drive it. As much as we like to detail, protect and keep them clean, they're made to be driven.

Good on 'ya.

F 355,

Congrats on the 1st Place! :bow :bow :bow

I just love your car, especially the fact that you drive it every day! It sure looks great.

What paint prep, (polish, sealant, wax, etc.), did you use for this show?

Again, great job!

Cheers,

At first, I didn't like you because you have a Ferrari, and I do not, but now that I see that you actually DRIVE the car, I like you again. How many of the other cars were actually driven to the show?

By the way, congrats and great looking car! :up

End of the day.........

To quote Billy Ocean, "She's simply....awesome" :) And I know what you mean about the little things we sometimes forget. At the last judged show I participated in, I cringed when I saw the judge get on his hands and knees to look at the undercarriage of the car:eek: He didn't take too many points off, but I learned right there to leave no spot unattended:cool: Congratulations again!
