Exhaust soot?

I have an aftermarket catback on my Jeep, and it has a straight, angle cut tip on it compared to the stock tailpipe that just turned down. It's been on the car for almost 5 years, and I'm beginning to see some faint darkening right above the exit of the tip.

What will take this off?

(I'm open to PC suggestions too, as I am getting one this coming week.)

Try some clay it works on my diesel Jetta & F350.

I use plumber's cloth and mother's metal polish it takes all stains off S.S pipes

Oh.. it's not on the tip. It's on the painted plastic rear bumper.

I use BlueMagic's Liquid Metal Polish and a towel.

harry444, What exactly is plumbers cloth? Is it that "sandpaper" used to prep copper pipes for solder?

It is sort of a perforated cloth thats sorta like emery cloth except its very durable plumbers use it to clean fittings before sodering but I perfer scotch brite pads over plumbers cloth its a personal prefference I clean my S.S. exhust with scotch brite pads and metal polish and its comes out clean and shinny
