EX Expectations - Fulfilled!

It's been about two weeks (a long time in Autopian terms) since the last layer of EX on my Black Hyundai Santa Fe. Only now can I give an unqualified :up :xyxthumbs. For really the first time can I say that I am truly satisfied with the looks of Hyundai's mediocre paint. The Black is truly Black! And the shine is satisfiying. The paint will never look as good as my Avalon, but now I don't have to be apologetic about its appearance.

I think that the finish looks better than the previous three coats of S100 and before that three coats of UPP.

Again, what is important to me is that I can apply EX over a filler/glaze. I don't have a PC so I can't get the swirls removed, but I can minimize them with a glaze (in this case Mother's Sealer and Glaze)

EX is great stuff!!

Great to here Gadfly!!

I am more and more enjoying EX and how compatible it is with other products (like AIO). I do apply S100/ps21 over it but now I do not (there does not seem to be any visible difference) and with all the RAIN it is better this way. All I need is EX and s&w during the rainy months:o :o .

I also give a BIG thumbs up to EX. Have 2 coats now on both of the SAABs with no need to top with S100. The depth of color on both cars is fantastic, one is metallic, the other is not. Perhaps the best plus to using EX is minimal dust adhesion, and road grime/bugs, ets. are VERY easily removed. The surface on both cars is incredibly slick; a fine mist of S&W or QD and wipe down is all that is needed to get the "just waxed look" I am very impressed with this product and very glad I purchased 2 bottles to start :D

I know, its still early, but we have had respondents that had trouble with S100 after one week.

Three weeks now of almost continual rain and EX demonstates beading - tiny, little beads! When worked over with SW, the black paint looks BLACK! And shiny! The car has never looked better. Needless to say I have become a real fan of Poorboy's EX!

Anyone used EX long enough to comment on durability? And anyone tried layering it on top of Zaino for compatibility and appearance/depth enhancement?

Iceman...I don't think anyone here at Autopia can leave their vehicle alone long enough to talk about durabilty but it lasts....

Yes many people have tried it over Zaino for more depth and enhancement..I'm sure they'll show up :wavey

I have one side of my truck with 2 month old EX and the other side and hood with one month old paste wax. The paste wax is not available (yet :D ) but what I've seen so far is pretty impressive. 4 weeks of crappy weather and non-stop rain and the paste wax panels are still beading nicely. When it does stop raining and left to dry on their own they still shine and shine deeply.

This paste wax spreads thinner, easier and longer than P21s. Doesen't stain trim and can be left for 5 minutes or an hour and still buffs off with the slightest effort (much like EX). I even had it rain on the wax before I buffed it off and it still came off with no problem! Want to add even more depth to your EX, Klasse or Zaino? Top it with this stuff stand back and gloat!

Here's the problem.....the guy who gave me this paste wax is unsure if he's gonna actually make it or not. Seems it is a fairly expensive endeavor. I've been trying to pursuade him but I'm only one person. Give Steve (Poorboy) a shout and tell him to relay the message that WE WANT THIS PASTE WAX! I'm sure Steve will be able to get the message to him. :D

This message will self destruct in one minute thereby eliminating any evidence.

Natty it didn't self -destruct:rolleyes:

what should the limited productin be called?

Nattybumppo's Limited Edition:nixweiss
