I'm just curious.

You can vote anonymously or vote and then post what you voted and why, it's up to you. Let's all agree to respect other's beliefs and possibly learn something new about others in the community.

I am voting for "Intelligent Design".

Why: Because I have seen miracles. I also don't think the complexity of living organisms could ever happen by chance or evolve from fish crawling out of mud and eventually turning into people. There are still fish and there is still mud so it would still be happening today if it ever happened in the first place. I also have faith and when I die, I hope to live forever in heaven. Evolutionists don't have that hope and I hope that I'm right and they are wrong but I am sure I will find out someday.

Well if what I see going on today and our history as a species is all by intelligent design than I have to say the designer is seriously lacking in intelligence and has a seriously sick sense of humor. It has never been more clear to me that we are nothing more than another species of animal. I know we like to think of our selves as advanced life forms but I find this humorous.

I do not believe we are a product of some supreme being and it all is some big plan. I think there are thousands of planets in the universe that have "intelligent life" on them. To think we are as good as it gets in the universe is laughably arrogant and delusional. I personally believe that there is life out there that is as far above us as we are above a maget.

If I am wrong and we are the product of some beings "intelligent design" the first thing I am going to do when I get to the pearly gates to face my maker is kick him/it in the nuts. Then I am going to make a U turn and go the other way because I have no use for such a demented being.

Concerning evolution there is little evidence for it.
The fossil record does not support evolution because there are gaps in it as you would epect for design wherews evoliution there would be transitional fossils . Thats why scinist do not support Darwinian evolution any more because the fossil resord does not support it. the use quantam evolution which says long periods of slow growth then rapid series of changes thats why not see trnstinal fosils.

Evolution is a theory if that yet being taught in shools especially colleges as fact.

creation has more evidence for it that evolution : however I do not know for sure so either way it all comes down to FAITH on both sides.

Sir Isaac Newton built a model of the Solar System. It was on his desk when one of his students saw it and asked what is was. Sir Newton explained that it was a model of the Solar System. The student asked who built it? Newton replied "No One" it was always there. Student said that can't be someone had too make it. Newton replies yes "I did" but you made our Solar System?

If evolution is by design, then that would be Intelligent Design.

Right, unless God is a dummy:cool:

Just that in the media, Intelligent Design (ID) and 6-day creationism are different things.

I should add that I don't buy all the evolution stuff, but just as a package. I'm not a scientist, unless applying SSR2.5 by rotary counts.

Dr. Robert A. Millikan, Nobel laureate in physics, said "The pathetic thing is that we have scientist who are trying to prove evolution, which no scientists can ever prove."
When you say GOD started it then let evolution take over thats called 'theistic evolution " this is wrong because: bible states Adam was first man not so says evolution. 2) theistic evolution cannot explain Eve 3) cannot explain where man got his soul 4) denies the fall of man 5) There is no theistic statement that shows theistic evolution to be true.

GOD could have created the world any way He wanted to plainly states creation.

>The Bible says that the earth is not flat it says curvature of the earth !

> also mentions dinosaurs

many other evidence for creation mongo

When I was in college I took a course in statistics as part of my math credit and the textbook had all kinds of snipets with statistical information. One that always stayed with me was this one that said that the statistical probability for the big bang in space to create a planet like earth just the perfect distance from the sun and also with an atmosphere and land and water that could sustain life would be the same statistical probability of an F5 tornado blowing through a junk yard and constructing a 747 airplane that could fly.

I prefer science over myth, so I'm going with Evolution.

Agreed. Just because we can't explain something concretely or haven't fully solved the mystery yet, does not mean I suspend reality and scientific, educated, analytical reasoning and make the leap into believing it is therefore god who created things. Based on what? Colorful stories written by people a few thousand years ago in the Christian Bible? The Jewish "Old" Testament? The Koran? Buddha? Hinduism? Native Americans? Or the multitude of religious beliefs of untold numbers of indigenous cultures throughout Africa, Asia or South America?

Or are we just saying a "supreme" being created all this? A little too medieval for me in the 21st Century epsecially when our country is lagging behind in the education department.

Then there is the whole political agenda behind "intelligent" design which is, in my opinion, more of a factor in why it is being pushed.

Plus if man was here from the begining, how on "god's" green earth :stick did he survive ice ages, meteor crashes as well as other massive climatic & atmospheric changes. Also if god created us in his image (white, black, semitic, asian?) how do you explain the bones of early man that looked nothing like us? Personally, the Bible (if that is your judge of things) can be turned up on its head. Do these other religions and beliefs hold water or is it just the dominate religious intepretations that are correct?
