I have started a detailing venture and decided to share my latest. I am not up to the level of some yet but I am getting there I think. Here is a recently two step polish of a friend of my wife.

Process:

Clean with Dawn in case of any left over wax (there was none, I should of known better)

Clay

Polish with Megs Ultimate Compound using Griot's Garage ROBv2 and 5.5 orange uber pad

Polish with Megs 205 on green 5.5 uber pad

Cleaned polish residue off

sealed with optiseal

treated trim with PB trim restorer

tires with Megs Ultimate Shine

The condition when I arrived:

After 205

Great Job. Just wondering though, you said in the description that you used Ultimate Compound to remove defect, However in the picture description, it stated you used Meg 105. Maybe just a typo or something.

Looks good. I'd love to see that B Pillar with the scratches (first pic) afterwords.

How are you liking that Griots v2?

Love it, I am going to give it a workout this weekend, I have a 04 Mustang GT and a 96 four door F-150 to polish and both will be at least a two step. Thank God for a four day weekend. I am looking forward to Mustang Week in Mrytle Beach when I can take a week off and relax with some stylin stangs in July.

Awesome work, your choice of product is pretty identical to mine. Also, oddly enough I have a 02 Mustang GT that needs a good two step and overall detail. It's been neglected due to having to many other cars needing to be cleaned on top of everyday life. I need to upgrade my buffer and I was thinking I'd go with the Griots garage like yours especially since I can go down to their wharehouse which is about 45 minutes away and pick one up.

The GG is awesome and I really like the 5.5 Uber Pads, The Ultimate Compound seems to dust a lot less then Megs 105 and has pretty much the same cut. It is so so much faster than my previous PC that I was using. Very happy so far.

Picking up a neighbor of the van owner's mustang today based on the job on the van and getting the black F-150 you can see in the background Saturday, so this detail turned into three for me.

Thanks for the kind words, I have only been seriously detailing for about six months. I have picked up a ton of information here on the site. I got tired of being jealous of the turn arounds some people were getting so I decided to learn how and start my own part time show.
