EVO XIII Exterior Carbon fiber wing has a White haze

Curious if anyone knows if i just polish and then wax the carbon fiber wing that it will come back to new. It looks as if it has just faded but not sure. Has anyone worked with exterior carbon fiber? I searched and most say treat it like the paint. Any input would be great!
 
Yes, treat it as paint, a mild polish should bring it back.



IIRC, the spoilers on the EVO's had a recall for fading/peeling. You might want to check into that.

Yes, alot where recalled. I had the same problem with my evo. I couldn't get rid of the haze. So I just replaced it and treated it like paint. The haze never came back :woohoo: .
 
I've heard of a LOT of carbon fiber parts having a cheap layer of clearcoat that fails prematurely. If you can get it taken care of under warranty, great. If not, talk to a bodyshop about re-clearing it.
